Home-Grown Islamic Radicalism in Norway

Our Norwegian correspondent The Observer has translated an article from yesterday’s Dagbladet about official Norway’s recent alarming discovery: Norway is harboring lots of potential Islamic terrorists! Who knew?

The translator includes this note:

This concerns the problem of potential ticking time bombs of the Islamic kind. The Norwegian Parliament was briefed about this threat in a secret meeting earlier this month. Needless to say, the information at the ‘top secret’ meeting was leaked to the press. Surprise, surprise!

According to the article, several of the politicians present at the meeting were surprised to hear about the new imported terrorist threat, but they shouldn’t be. There have been countless warnings in the last three decades from patriotic Norwegians about the very real and dangerous consequences of the ludicrous practice of importing potential terrorist to Norway disguised as a humane refugee policy.

One also has to question the determination and willingness of the authorities in preventing a terrorist attack from these bearded savages, considering that the authorities have no qualms about handing out weapons licences to these maniacs, and that they see nothing wrong with letting these jihadists legally procure six weapons per head.

Parliament briefed about “Norwegian terrorists”

Leading Norwegian politicians have been briefed about potential Islamic terrorists in Norway during a secret meeting in the Norwegian Parliament

In a secret meeting on October 1, Minister of Justice Grete Faremo and Minister of Defence Anne-Grete Strøm-Erichsen briefed the Norwegian Parliament about the growing terrorist threat in Norway. Several potential Islamist terrorists were mentioned by name.

Sources who were present when the extended Foreign Affairs and Defense committee was briefed on the terrorist threat in Norway have told Dagbladet that the threat of a terrorist attack carried out by extreme Islamists have never been higher than it is today in Norway.

Dagbladet has been told that the ministers were accompanied by the top management from the PST and the Military Intelligence Service during the secret briefing. Representatives from the National Security Authority were also present when Faremo and Strøm-Erichsen briefed the parliament in great detail about the terrorist threat.

Secret briefing

Everybody who attended the briefing had to hand over their cell phones and other electronic equipment before they were allowed to be take part in the secret meeting. Several of the attendees were surprised when the ministers revealed the identities of individuals that the secret service believes could be potential terrorists.

Dagbladet is familiar with several of the names that the politicians were briefed about. During previous briefings names of potential terrorists have never been disclosed.

40 potential terrorists

According to the information given by the Police Security Service (PST), the Military Intelligence Services, and the National Security Authority (NSM), there are approximately of 40 individuals in Norway who are viewed as potential and dangerous terrorist. These men are based in Norway, but several of them travel to conflict areas abroad.

The group of potential Islamists terrorists consists of several different ethnicities

A handful of them are of ethnic Norwegian origin and have converted to Islam. The rest of them have different ethnic backgrounds. Some of them have Norwegian citizenship, others have for variety of reasons been granted Norwegian residency permits.

In March 2012, as reported here at the time, a film crew for the Christian Action Network visited London and other European cities to take footage for a documentary about the Islamization of Europe. Seneca III was one of the people interviewed. The words he spoke back then are timely now — and, given the events of the past three days, prophetic.

The auditors are requesting a physical examination of German gold assets to make certain they exist in the quantities recorded in financial records.

The Takedown of the EDL

I first learned of the arrest of Tommy Robinson and Kevin Carroll early yesterday morning — after most Americans were in bed, and before most Brits were awake. I held off posting anything (other than a single sketchy MSM report) until I had more information.

And now Paul Weston has also been arrested — events are overtaking us thick and fast.

Before I get into the details (such as I have), let’s take a look at the broad picture: this was obviously a carefully-planned takedown of the English Defence League.

The Powers That Be in the UK have apparently determined that the EDL is weak at the moment. They calculated that a precisely-targeted “short, sharp shock” could destroy it. Put Tommy Robinson behind bars for a long, long time; disrupt Kevin Carroll’s election campaign; and, for good measure, arrest the Chairman of the British Freedom Party.

I think they expect the remnants of the EDL to run around like a chicken with its head cut off. With its leaders incapacitated, and its rank-and-file in disarray, the British authorities assume the movement will fall to pieces and decline into irrelevance, just as the BNP did before it.

So, for any English Defence League supporters who happen to read this: if you want to prove your Masters wrong — if you want to demonstrate that “No Surrender!” is still alive and well in England — you’ll need to pull together, even in the absence of the top leadership, and flex your organizational muscles.

I’m far away, and not a native Englishman, so I can’t offer any advice on the best way to do this. But I know it can be done.

I know the English spirit and the English people — I lived among them during my formative years.

If you put your minds to it, you can surmount this obstacle, just as you have so many others. I have every confidence in you.

Now on to the news. First, a report from Luton Today about the arrest of Tommy Robinson, who seems to have been stitched up on two separate charges: one for assault, and one for using a false passport to travel to the Freedom Defense Initiative in New York on September 11:

EDL leader arrested over assault

English Defence League leader Stephen Lennon has been arrested over an alleged assault in Luton on Saturday morning.

It is believed the victim was Saiful Islam, known for preaching his extremist views in Bury Park.

The pair featured in Channel 4 documentary Proud and Prejudiced earlier this year, and a You Tube video of an altercation between the pair in Bury Park last year has been viewed nearly 300,000 times.

A spokesman for Beds Police said a man was assaulted in New Bedford Road at about 10.15am by five men who got out of a black BMW.

He was punched and kicked and lost his mobile phone and keys in the incident, and his injuries are described as “reddening of the left eye”.

Police confirmed a 29-year-old man was being held on suspicion of assault.

Lennon, who calls himself Tommy Robinson, is currently being held by police on suspicion of conspiring to cause a public nuisance after police intercepted a group of 53 EDL members on their way to east London on Saturday.

The English Defence League has released a statement saying everyone arrested on Saturday, apart from Lennon, was bailed yesterday and that he was also being held on suspicion of entering the US illegally following a trip to New York in September.

Also among those understood to have been arrested on Saturday was Kevin Carroll, who is standing in the police and crime commissioner elections for Bedfordshire.

The charges against Kevin Carroll appear much flimsier, and hardly to be taken seriously — this is obviously a ruse to sandbag Kev’s candidacy for PCC in Bedfordshire.

Paul Weston Arrested at Wormwood Scrubs

I was away from home most of the day, and when I got back, it seemed that almost everyone I know in Britain has been arrested.

I already knew about the arrest of Tommy Robinson and Kevin Carroll (more on that when I gather sufficient information); I learned that yesterday. Now I find out that Sgt. Plod has also laid his apprehending hands on Paul Weston, the chairman of the British Freedom Party.

I have just received an urgent telephone call from British Freedom leader Paul Weston who has been arrested outside Wormwood Scrubs Prison*.

Speaking from the back of a police van being driven to an unknown destination, Paul hurriedly informed me that he and a friend had travelled to the prison in West London this evening with the aim of visiting Tommy Robinson, or at least assuring themselves of his well-being.

Speaking through a glass panel they had asked officers at the prison to confirm that Tommy was being held there, but they refused to provide this information, citing the ‘Data Protection Act’. Paul and his friend again demanded to know where Tommy was being held, and at that point both were charged with breach of the peace, arrested and bundled into the police van.

Our conversation was cut off with Paul loudly remonstrating to an unidentified individual, “take your hands off me!”

We will update you on the situation as it unfolds.

Same for me — I’ll post more when it comes in.

By the way, I’ve heard that Tommy is being held in Wandsworth Prison (wherever that is).

The Jordanian security services foiled a major terror plot which they said would have caused thousands of deaths if the plotters had succeeded in their aim of attacking shopping centers and foreign diplomats. Eleven Islamic activists were arrested and shown on TV, all of them wearing identical blue shirts and long beards.

In other news, Muslim organizations and left-wing anti-racist groups in France were alarmed by yesterday’s occupation of the Grand Mosque in Poitiers by young operatives from Génération Identitaire. They are calling on the French authorities to take action to stop such manifestations of racism, intolerance, and Islamophobia.

This past May, leaders of the Coalition of African American Pastors requested a meeting with President Obama and with Eric Holder, the head of the Justice Department. In August they complained publicly that they’d never received “the courtesy of a reply”.

Did you see any mention of it in the MSM? I didn’t either, though when Bill K sent the link to this YouTube video, I did search the MSM news from August. I found a few mentions in the right-wing media. However, in the main this story seems just to be part of the YouTube ghetto, taken from C-Span. The president ignored these 3,742 black pastors, so the media did too. Why? Because they don’t ever cross Obama — they have neither the courage nor the integrity to act on journalistic principle if it means making The One look bad.

The speakers for the CAAP said:

“He thinks he can ignore us because he has us in his pocket… we take great offense to that…”

“I am shamed that the first black president chose this road… I am not going to stand with you with this foolishness.”

Yep. That’s what my black neighbors call it too: foolishness.

Supersize This!

As everybody knows by now, it was announced earlier this month that this year’s Nobel Peace Prize will be awarded to none other than the European Union.

This can only further burnish the luster added to the Prize when it was presented to Barack Hussein Obama back in 2009.

Both these momentous occasions were simply the latest in a long series of distinguished recipients, who include Al Gore (2007), Mohamed El-Baradei (2005), Jimmy Carter (2002), Amnesty International (1977), the United Nations and Kofi Annan (2001), Yasser Arafat (1994), Desmond Tutu (1984), and International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (1985).

“But Baron,” you say, “none of this is news! Everyone knows the Nobel Peace Prize jumped the shark decades ago. Why, it’s become a dumping ground for progressive political hacks — as designated by progressive political hacks in Norway!”

And indeed it has. But let’s not give up on the much-maligned Prize just yet.

I recently had the good fortune to be interviewed by Elsa Schieder for her interview series “Understanding Islam, Understanding the West”. The interview will be published in the first week of November, during what Elsa calls “The International Week”.

Suffice it to say that she and I had a very interesting talk, one that took us back to my childhood in Iran and how my thinking about Islam was influenced by the Islamic revolution of 1979. We also discussed the my discovery of Aisha’s “marriage” to Mohammed — which did not yet jump-start my quest for knowledge; that had to wait until later — and how it came about that I would devote most of my day to explaining the dangers of Islamic doctrine to those willing to listen.

The latest attempt to break the Gaza blockade failed when the Finnish-flagged ship Estelle was surrounded by the Israeli navy today and boarded without incident. Israeli sailors took control of the ship and piloted it to Ashdod, where the passengers and crew — progressive activists from Canada, Europe, and Israel — will be dealt with by the Israeli immigration authorities. There were no violent confrontations or injuries.

In other news, activists from the French nationalist group Génération Identitaire entered and occupied the partially completed Great Mosque in Poitiers, the city where the Islamic invaders of France were defeated by Charles Martel in the 8th century. The demonstrators were protesting the Islamization of France, and demanded a referendum on French immigration policies.
