Vandalism Again, and a Warning

The Australian artist Sergio Redegalli has been featured several times previously in this space. Mr. Redegalli caused an uproar in Sydney a couple of years ago when he painted a mural on an outside wall of his studio that called for the banning of the burqa.

His mural has just been vandalized again. As the Sheik reports, this is the sixty-eighth time:

Vandalized mural #68

This time the vandals left an ominous warning note at the scene. It’s visible in the above photo, lying on the ground just below the mural.

Here’s a close-up view of what it said:

Warning to Sergio Redegalli

I don't know if it's deliberate, or if it is simply them being too stupid to understand the fine print of the principle they themselves refer to; you cannot use freedom of expression to undermine other people's right to express themselves – it _defeats_ the purpose. Freedom of expression works both ways. My freedom ends where another man's freedom starts. Well, what am I saying. You all know this. Just makes my blood boil, that's all.

Sergio has had worse threats than what that silly note conveys. He knows what he is up against, but he also knows that he is not alone!
