Resisting the Islamization of Paris

The last I heard, the French MSM didn’t even cover yesterday’s Counterjihad event in Paris. The conference has received a slight amount of (biased) attention elsewhere.

It takes Iranian state-sponsored television to air a somewhat fuller account of what went on at “Assises contre l’islamisation de l’Europe” (“Rally Against the Islamization of Europe”). Yes, this one is biased, too — but no more biased than the Associated Press or Reuters, as far as I can tell.

You’ll notice that the reporter conflates the rally’s organizers with the Front National and Marine Le Pen, who had nothing whatsoever to do with it.

You’ll also hear the specious and familiar argument that Muslims take over entire streets in Paris for prayers because there is not enough space for them in the mosque. Regular readers know all to well that this is spurious: by praying in a given public space, the faithful are actually claiming it for Dar al-Islam, and declaring it to be waqf — sacred territory, held under trust for the Ummah in perpetuity.

But still, you’ll see some familiar faces in this report — Tom Trento, Oskar Freysinger, and Anders Gravers — and hear what they have to say.

Many thanks to Vlad Tepes for YouTubing this video:
