All You Need is Love

There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done.

This news story made me think of the John Lennon song because of the subhead in Al-Arabiya:

Goal is to “learn to love each other,” Sarkozy says

Mahmoud Abbas, Nicolas Sarkozy, and Ehud OlmertAnd it’s quite a love-feast that went on today — Bastille Day! — in Paris. The photo brings to mind President Bush holding hands and playing kissy-face with (then) Prince Abdullah. Here’s Nicolas Sarkozy in the middle doing a great Mr. Bean imitation with his goofy grin. Ehud Olmert, on the right, has the glassy smile of someone who’s finally gotten his mind right. And Mahmoud Abbas — Abu Mazen — is on the left, grimacing his way through this ordeal until he can get back home to “Palestine” and cash the latest billion-dollar check from the EU.

As Bat Ye’or pointed out in her interview, the intention of the EU in its dealings with the Arab world is to eliminate Israel from the Middle East, which will make the Arabs happy and thus improve relations with the countries that control Europe’s oil spigot.

But the pretend agenda is “peace”, as if we all haven’t learned after more than forty years that peace with Israel is the last thing that the Arabs want.

Yet the charade must go on:

Mideast issues top agenda of Med Union summit

France urged a 43-nation Union for the Mediterranean to tackle 21st century challenges including the array of Middle East issues, which remained a hot topic of discussion at a launch summit on Sunday.

On the sidelines, French President Nicolas Sarkozy hosted talks with the Israeli and Palestinian leaders, Ehud Olmert and Mahmoud Abbas, after which Olmert said the two sides had never been so close to a peace accord.

“The goal of this summit for the Mediterranean, of this Union for the Mediterranean, is that we learn to love each other instead of continuing to hate each other and wage war,” Sarkozy told a joint news conference with Olmert and Abbas.

Love each other! Why didn’t we think of that before? It’s easy — we should have listened to John Lennon.

Everybody is busy making history:

“The fact that everyone will be in the same room for the same meeting is in itself an historic event,” he said.

Yasser Arafat shaking hands with Yitzhak Rabin in the Rose Garden was an historic event, too. It turned out not to be the kind of history that Israel and the United States expected or wanted, but history has a habit of playing tricks like that.

Yet everyone goes on believing — or pretending to believe — that this time things will be different. It’s like the battered wife returning home to her violent husband for the hundredth time, thinking if only this time I don’t burn the roast, if only I keep the house clean enough, if only the kids don’t get out of hand, if only… if only…

Syria is being rehabilitated. It seems that the murder of Rafik Hariri is going to be dropped down the same memory hole that Tiananmen Square disappeared into:

Syria’s presence

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad attended the opening conference with over 40 other leaders including Olmert — the first time Israeli and Syrian leaders will have been in the same room. The two countries recently began indirect peace talks with Turkish mediation.

That diplomatic breakthrough, and an agreement on Saturday to exchange embassies with Lebanon for the first time, enabled Assad to emerge from isolation in the West three years after the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq al-Hariri, which many believe was orchestrated from Damascus.

And the following seems ominous for Israel:

French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said it was time the region put years of strife behind it and forge new ties with European Union states on the pressing issues of the day.

Translation: “The EU says it’s time for Israel to give the Arabs everything they want.” And Mr. Olmert is all too ready to do his part:

According to a source close to the prime minister, Olmert promised Abbas to release a new group of Palestinian prisoners as “a gesture” of good will.

An aide quoted the Israeli minister as telling the meeting: “I know that some of the members of this conference see the conflict as an obstacle… I cannot accept this. I look at my neighbors and see first and foremost neighbors.”

So the Israeli government has its head buried as deeply in the sand as anybody in Europe or North America.

Earth to Olmert: These aren’t your “neighbors” — these are people who want to drive the Jews into the sea!

But no, we’re going to have more round of John Lennon instead: Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game.

Hat tip: TB.

Yeah. That's exactly what they're up to. I remember saying a few months ago that the EU is going to do to Israel what they did to Kosovo/Serbia.

The EU is objectively anti-human.

Of course! Why did this thought never occur to me? Maybe if we started to love Islam, we westerners and the Muslims to live in peace together. What a brilliant idea - love, not hate.

And unfortunately America betrayed Serbia as well. Let's hope we (America) don't do the same to Israel (we will though if Obama gets elected).

This is just a party so that the French, or its leaders, can pretend to be the power they are not.
Really, since 1915, France is no power. Also, Iran? Isn't Iran Mediterranean?
Portugal and Germany were there, it's not really about uniting the Mediterranean, it is uniting Europe and the muslim world. I just find odd the absense of such a power like Iran, with 70 million muslims, and a big protectorate over Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and even Israel.

I really hope the Jews not to atack Iran, that would be their end... I still am not believing the Iranians will atack the Jews first... All the West would fall on them. Concerning the nukes? I'd feel more secure if the French nuclear arsenal was to be handed to Iran.

Please America, disarm France before it is to late!

This new 'Union' is so remarkably foolish it's bound to fall flat. Noone here in Denmark really believe in it, and the newspapers are critical. The narrow 'Information' just accepted a critical letter from me about it.

Note that deception relies on speed. The fact that Sarkozy speeds up this crap instead of trying to fix the current union shows that the deception is getting frail. We need to keep up the critical voice on these issues, and it just might be possible to stall them.

One way is to block funding. We're having a credit crunch, and our hard-earned cash should *NOT* be passed on to stupid French megalomania.

Please tell your parliamentarians. If you do it now, it just might pre-emt those decisions that could make this monster fly for a while. Expensively.

Zechariah 12:2 “I am about to make Jerusalem a cup that brings dizziness to all the surrounding nations; indeed, Judah will also be included when Jerusalem is besieged. Moreover, on that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy burden for all the nations, and all who try to carry it will be seriously injured; yet all the peoples of the earth will be assembled against it.

In that day,” says the Lord, “I will strike every horse with confusion and its rider with madness. I will pay close attention to the house of Judah, but will strike all the horses6 of the nations7 with blindness. Then the leaders of Judah will say to themselves, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem are a means of strength to us through their God, the Lord who rules over all.’

On that day I will make the leaders of Judah like an igniter among sticks and a burning torch among sheaves, and they will burn up all the surrounding nations right and left. Then the people of Jerusalem will settle once more in their place, the city of Jerusalem. The Lord also will deliver the homes of Judah first, so that the splendor of the kingship11 of David and of the people of Jerusalem may not exceed that of Judah.

On that day the Lord himself will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the weakest among them will be like mighty David, and the dynasty of David will be like God, like the angel of the Lord before them. So on that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.”

“I will pour out on the kingship of David and the population of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication so that they will look to me, the one they have pierced. They will lament for him as one laments for an only son, and there will be a bitter cry for him like the bitter cry for a firstborn. On that day the lamentation in Jerusalem will be as great as the lamentation at Hadad-Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. The land will mourn, clan by clan – the clan of the royal household of David by itself and their wives by themselves; the clan of the family of Nathan by itself and their wives by themselves; the clan of the descendants of Levi by itself and their wives by themselves; and the clan of the Shimeites by itself and their wives by themselves – all the clans that remain, each separately with their wives.”

Concerning the later events in Portugal, the Portuguese Socilist MEP, António Vitorino, said:

"Muliculturality is an experience that have to be lived, not only between the Portuguese and the citizens who are not members of an European ethnicity, but also among those different ethnicities, between themselves"

He continued:

"To live in a Multicultural society IS NOT NORMAL, IT IS SOMETHING THAT HAS TO BE PEDAGOGICALLY EXPLAINED TO THE PEOPLE, and the people have to understand and accept that."

People, this is getting really frightening.

Between, I had to do this:

Americans, that is, Texans: from a Europe that Barks Obama, there are still some artists who stand for McCain... This Portuguese band is currently in Texas, United States and during their latest show in Portugal, Cobra did tatood MCCAIN in his chest... it was transmited live. I'm their biggest fan...
Here is that show...

I swear I am truly coming to believe that The Obamanation is 'The Walkin' Dude' from Stephen King's novel "The Stand". (Shaitan incarnate on earth)

I-ran calls the US "The Great Satan". Project much, fellas?

And the idiots from the EU are just going to be set to fall into their roles as the 10 Kings of Revelation.

"And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no power as yet but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast." (Rev. 17:12-13)

HH and Natalie--

I see your point re: Kosovo/Serbia, but the Kosovoans, to their credit, were nothing compared to the utter horror that the Palestinians have become under the various "leadership" organizations that have terrorized Israel for the past decades.

I don't think the Knesset is quite ready to be dhimmified yet, regardless of a few spineless politicians a la Olmert. There is still Netanyahu and those who share his views...

I wouldn't worry about Obama. He's a liberal like all the rest.

Put it this way: there is no way he will pull the troops out of Iraq, not unless he wants Iraq to degenerate into mono-cultural chaos..

What I think is amazing about that passage, as well as other similar passages, it that modern educated westerners do not have a clue. These things happen right before our eyes, and people cannot, and will not see it.

So, here we go. Get ready, because here it comes.

I was always puzzled about how the scriptures clearly stated the entire world would line up against Israel. Back then I thought, how could the US fall for such foolishness? Then it wasn't apparent how America could line up against Israel, and join the rest of the world in it's quest to destroy the Jewish nation.

Now, it is not so hard to understand. Let Obama take the reigns and let the games begin in earnest!
