Pat Condell Censored by YouTube

Most of our readers are familiar with Pat Condell, the English comedian whose scathing videos circulate virally on the internet. In them he denounces Islam, Multiculturalism, Political Correctness, and the British Labour government, among other things, with characteristically blunt humor.

Now it seems that YouTube has had enough of this outrageous Islamophobe, and has acted to censor him. Henrik and Holger Danske of Europe News have done the research:

YouTube censors Pat Condell’s latest video

The outspoken English comedian Pat Condell (official web site here ) has had his latest video blocked by YouTube. You can watch it here.

Welcome to Saudi Britain

The most urgent message in his video is this: If you live in Britain please sign this petition against the creeping poison of sharia law before October 4th when it closes.

Apparently YouTube, which has had some challenges with Turkey and Pakistan, have decided that it is easier to block ‘problematic’ content themselves than standing up for freedom and have Pakistani Internet operators wreak havoc on them.

We are still waiting for the day when big media realize they have a responsibility to stand up for freedom of expression.

In his latest video, Pat Condell sure manages to step on some toes. But that is well deserved, for what happens is serious and what he has to say is important. Too important to censor, so here is a transcript of the start of the video:

Hi everyone

You may remember that a couple of weeks ago, it was revealed that Sharia courts are now operating here in Britain, with the full backing of the law, even though they discriminate against women as a matter of cause.

And what this means is that those women who are intimidated into using these courts, as some of them will be, and everyone knows it, they will now find that they have the full weight of the British legal system lined up against them, alongside the patriarchal bigotry in their own communities.

Those women who are cheated out of their just entitlements in these places, as some already have been, will find that they have no recourse to the real law to put things right. In other words, we are now accommodating Saudi Arabian legal principles here in Britain.

YouTube is very censorious these days. Condell should go to LiveLeak, who were brave enough to show Fitna.

Baron,

Condell was simply exercising his right to free speech what's the problem? Perhaps the West needs to set up a defensive cyber organization to protect sites that are blackmailed by Islamists trying to suppress our rights.

Those leftists at Google block Condell on principle, they don't have to be blackmailed.

There's an old saying among techies that Internet percieves censorship as damage and routes around it.

This extra exposure of Pat Condell and his latest video is a fine example :)

YouTube is creating a market opportunity for a free-speech video site.

I sincerely hope some entrepreneur rises to the occasion in response to Google's political agenda and censorship.

In a way it is encourageing that giants are more cowardly than others.
It may give us a space to do better than hanging with silly giants.

Always find out what may be turned in our advantage.

Even our "Vienna fight" - we may take leisurely - as a regular exercise in our freedom science. Never show dismay, fear or confusion based on desperately defensive action. Go ahead. Each of us needs some exercise. So is the life.

"Hallo devil, I appreciate the chance to show you my stark convictions."

With all the complaints about lack of freedom of the press in Russia, it's interesting that I haven't heard any complaints about anti-jihadist and pro-Christian bloggers, writers, and performers being muzzled over there.

Maybe, just maybe, the supposedly "free" West has a big problem with projection. Pot, meet kettle...

@ RightGirl: Interesting you mention it, and it was the other way around: Because LiveLeak had Pat Condell (and proved to offer freedom of speech, YouTube wasn't shure then and even received blocking threats), and LiveLeak was completely overlooked by all, including stalking InterNazi's who already settled themselves on YouTube, he released Fitna on LiveLeak.
Here is Geert Wilders' page.

Although many Muslim scholars argue that honor killings are un-Islamic, for the most barbaric in the Islamic world, honor killings are part-and-parcel of sharia -- and that means that Her Majesty's Government will now have to condone them.
