The Long Arm of the OIC

The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) is the second-largest international body after the UN. It represents 57 Muslim (or putatively Muslim) nations, and bills itself as the deliberative body of the Ummah, the collective of the world’s Muslims.

When examining the reach and influence of the OIC, it’s useful to take a look at Saudi Prince al-Waleed bin Talal, one of the wealthiest and most influential Islamic activists in the world. In September 2005, Prince bin Talal bought 5.46% of voting shares in News Corp, making him the fourth-largest voting shareholder in the parent of Fox News. Just by coincidence, 5.46% is the precise amount necessary to have a seat on the board of directors. It was a shrewd move, giving Prince bin Talal direct influence on broad editorial policies at America’s most popular cable news outlet — which is also generally perceived to be “conservative”.

The prince made no bones about his strategy. Years earlier, in 2002, bin Talal boasted about his influence on the news content seen by viewers all over the world:

Arab countries can influence U.S. decision-making “if they unite through economic interests, not political,” (Alwaleed) stressed. “We have to be logical and understand that the U.S. administration is subject to U.S. public opinion. We (Arabs) are not so active in this sphere (public opinion). And to bring the decision-maker on your side, you not only have to be active inside the U.S. Congress or the administration but also inside U.S. society.”

He gave an outline of a broader Muslim strategy in a speech on May 28, 2005 at the 25th anniversary of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC):

… there is too much at stake. That is why I, through Kingdom Holding Company, have already begun the process of establishing think-tanks, foundations and centers, as well as partnering with institutions of higher learning in the United States. Needless to say, we are more than prepared to work with organizations such as ADC, CAIR, Arab-American Institute, to name only a few, and to provide needed support. What we have before us will not be easy, but I am convinced that with your help, and the help of others, God willing, we will eventually succeed. Rest assured that I for one will spare neither effort nor treasure in reaching our common goals.

A few months later Prince bin Talal put his treasure where his mouth was, and bought his share of Fox News.

But what does this have to do with the OIC?

A general rule about Sunni Islamic activism is that it is all interconnected, and the tentacles of connection inevitably lead back to the Muslim Brotherhood. The ADC, CAIR, and MPAC are all Muslim Brotherhood organizations, and all were unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation trial.

These and similar Muslim organizations are affiliated with the OIC and work co-operatively with it. In 2006 CAIR issued its own press release with references to the ADC and the OIC:

OIC, CAIR, ADC TO HOLD PRESS CONFERENCE ON ISLAM/WEST RELATIONS

September 20, 2006

The Secretary General of The Organization of Islamic Conference and Local Chicago leaders to comment on Muslim-US relations, Muslim-Catholic relations

(CHICAGO, IL 9/20/2006) — The Chicago office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Chicago) and the Chicago chapter of the American Arab Anti-Discrimination committee (ADC) will join his Excellency, Prof. Dr. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), in a press conference this Saturday on the subject of US-Muslim relations 5 years after 9/11.

So all roads in the Ummah lead to the OIC.

As regular readers know, the OIC is now halfway through a ten-year plan to eliminate Islamophobia throughout the non-Muslim world. It views recent developments in Switzerland and the Netherlands with alarm, since they indicate that Islamophobia has leaped from the personal level to legal initiatives and political institutions. According to the OIC website:
- - - - - - - - -
The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, has called on Member States to convene a high-level meeting to elaborate a unified Islamic plan on how to relate with the west in addressing the spate of Islamophobia.

This proposal was contained in the Secretary General’s address to the preparatory senior officials meeting for the thirty-seventh session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, held at the OIC Headquarters in Jeddah on 12 April 2010, and lasting three days.

The Secretary General underscored the challenges facing the OIC, foremost of which is the campaign against Islam and Muslims in the west, in the context of what has come to be known as Islamophobia. He stressed that this phenomenon must be addressed especially because “it has become a serious matter which portends grave consequences.” In this regard, he underlined that the ban on the construction of minarets in Switzerland was a dangerous indication pointing to growing hostility towards Islam and Muslims. Islamophobia has graduated from being an individual act and newspaper articles to the level of laws and constitutions to underpin the phenomenon, thus featuring in the agenda of political contests at elections.

So how does Prof. Ihsanoglu propose dealing with the scourge of Islamophobia? Why, through the UN, of course:

The Secretary General asserted that the commitment of Member States to support the position of the OIC in voting on the resolution against defamation of religions at the Human Rights Council in Geneva and the United Nations General Assembly was very crucial. This was in spite of the strong opposition they faced from the western states. He cautioned about negligence on the matter for that would mean a loss of the political and legal support needed to defend our religion, values and holy sites. He called on Member States to accord utmost importance to the matter.

Every year since 1999 the UN Human Rights Council has voted for an OIC-sponsored resolution proposing a binding decision that requires member states to enact laws that criminalize “defamation of religion” — which in practice means criticism of Islam. Every year the United States and European countries vote against it, but with Barack Hussein Obama in charge of American foreign policy, the OIC is that much closer to achieving its stated goal.

The topics of the OIC, CAIR, and Prince al-Waleed bin Talal all converge in what is on the sides of Miami-Dade Transit’s municipal buses. Or, rather, in what is not on the sides of Miami-Dade Transit’s municipal buses: CAIR has successfully pressured the bus system into dropping paid advertisements that it considers “Islamophobic”.

What makes this article from Fox Business doubly interesting is the fact that it has virtually republished a CAIR press release. It retails uncritically all the Muslim Brotherhood talking points, including vicious attacks on Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer:

CAIR: Anti-Islam Ads Pulled From Miami Buses

CAIR-SFL applauds end to ‘campaign of hatred and intolerance’

The South Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-SFL) today announced that Miami-Dade Transit is dropping bus advertisements sponsored by an anti-Islam hate group.

“We believe Miami-Dade Transit did the right thing in dropping this campaign of hatred and intolerance,” said CAIR-SFL Executive Director Muhammed Malik. “The advertisement’s reference to apostasy is merely a smoke-screen for the promotion of anti-Islam bigotry and the attempted marginalization of American Muslims.”

He said Stop the Islamization of America’s leaders, Pam Geller and Robert Spencer, are considered by many Muslims to be among the nation’s most vicious Islamophobes.

On her personal blog, Geller has written of President Obama: “[O]ne thing is for sure: Hussein is a muhammadan [sic].” [emphasis added]

Now here comes a professionally-executed example of the art of the smear:

Geller has been vocal in her criticism of the black population in South Africa and seemingly supportive of the slain South African apartheid leader Eugene Terre’blanche. Following Terre’blanche’s recent murder, Geller wrote: “All I see in South Africa is Black supremacism. Terreblanche [sic] may have been a white supremacist, but he’s the dead one.”

This is a clever guilt-by-innuendo hatchet job worthy of Charles Johnson. Whites in South Africa — including the followers of the late Eugene Terre’blanche — are victims of an ongoing genocide at the hands of blacks. This fact is indisputable, even if the mainstream media in the United States choose to ignore it. And genocide is genocide, even if some of the victims are “racists” themselves.

But because Ms. Geller dares to point it out — voilà! She becomes a de facto racist “white supremacist”. OK, OK, a Jewish white supremacist, but still…

Dr. Goebbels would be proud.

CAIR Fox Business continues:

Geller has even been criticized by other Islamophobes for her extremism and for supporting far-right fascist groups in Europe. In fact, Stop the Islamization of America is an outgrowth of a similar group in Europe that seeks to block the construction of mosques on that continent. Stop the Islamization of Europe also “considers Islamophobia to be the height of common sense” and claims that Islam “considers lying to be not only acceptable, but obligatory.”

Note the absence of quote marks around the word “Islamophobes” or “fascist”, and the lack any other attempt by a supposedly independent news organization to investigate the validity and spin of the CAIR party line.

Needless to say, there’s nothing in that “Islamophobic” platform that we (and most of our readers) don’t agree with. But there’s no indication that Fox has even considered the possibility that “Islamophobes” might have valid points to make. The “article” displays an uncritical acceptance of the BlokWatch/LGF designation of parties like Vlaams Belang as “fascist”, and thus extends the label by association to Mr. Spencer and Ms. Geller.

Robert Spencer has also been criticized for the extremism exhibited on his personal anti-Muslim web site “Jihad Watch,” which recently compared Muslims to Nazis. Jihad Watch Board Vice President Hugh Fitzgerald wrote: “When I see thousands of people in a mosque, I am put in mind not of a gathering at St. Peter’s, but rather, of a Nuremberg Rally, a horizontal collective affair, rather than vertical, with the prostration itself performing, or signifying, blind obedience of the kind that, at the real Nuremberg, is signified by the heil-hitlering salute of thousands, yelling in unison, and saluting, and re-saluting.” [Spencer refused to repudiate those statements.]

And why would he need to “repudiate” them? Would Fox News care to examine the arguments demonstrating the similarities (not to mention the institutional liaison) between Nazism and Islam?

No, that’s apparently too much trouble for the dedicated news-sleuths at good ol’ “Fair and Balanced”.

This brief quote is also interesting:

One then right-wing critic wrote of Spencer’s blog: “His website has descended into a true hate site at this point, dominated by extreme, bigoted commenters who regularly advocate genocide and mass murder of Muslims.” [That writer has since broken with the far-right, in part because of pervasive anti-Islam bigotry its proponents often exhibit.]

“That writer” just happens to be Charles Johnson. “Right-wing critic”! Hah!

I wonder how Il Duce of LGF feels about being not only a public asset for CAIR, but also a favorably-quoted source for a Fox Business story…

And now for the Gates of Vienna connection:

In 2007, Spencer spoke at a so-called “Counterjihad Brussels” conference in Belgium attended by those with links to far-right parties such as Filip Dewinter of Vlaams Belang (Belgium) and Ted Ekeroth of Sverigedemokraterna (Sweden). Both parties have been accused of either having a racist platform, a neo-Nazi past or having links to neo-Nazis and other racists.

Yes indeed! These are our people. And, yes, they have been accused of “having a racist platform, a neo-Nazi past or having links to neo-Nazis and other racists.”

Accusations are easy and fun to obtain. Dr. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has been accused of barbecuing puppies in his basement — or so I hear. Prince al-Waleed bin Talal has been accused of keeping ten-year-old blonde Norwegian girls as sex slaves. I read that somewhere; can’t remember where.

Let’s hear it for “being accused”!

And what about Nihad Awad, the National Executive Director of CAIR? What has he been accused of? Perhaps of being the most prominent shill for the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States of America:

“The bus ads are part of a growing ‘Islamophobia machine’ nationwide that must be challenged by Americans of all faiths,” said CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad.

The rest of the MSM was already in the tank for the Muslim Brotherhood. Now that Fox News has taken its thirty pieces of silver and crossed over to the other side, there is virtual unison within the nation’s major news outlets on the topic of Islam. Prince bin Talal has reason to consider his money well-spent.

The “Islamophobes” in Europe have the wind at their backs these days, as recent events in Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Belgium demonstrate. Watch the upcoming elections in Sweden and Britain: the breeze may strengthen even further.

But the gale is hard in our faces here in the USA, and the high-powered wind machine generating it is a joint venture of the major media outlets, Prince al-Waleed bin Talal, the OIC, CAIR, MPAC, ISNA, MSA, and all the other innumerable morsels in the great alphabet soup of Muslim Brotherhood front groups in the United States.

Hat tips: TB and TV.

Why, indeed, would anyone accusing Muslims of acting like Nazis find any need to repudiate this?

A liberal lawyer of my acquaintance argued recently why Fox News is an “extreme right-wing” network. He characterized the Fox audience as: "1. Rich people who detest paying taxes, 2. The religious right, 3. Anti-abortion people, 4. Anti-government people (like Timothy McVeigh). 5. Anti-immigration people, 6. Anti-minority people."

So there you have it, all the cardinal sins, and all the buttons that the liberal establishment/ dhimmi 5th column need to press to elicit the desired response. In view of the article above, and other footprints of the Al-Waleed influence, it’s sad what passes for an extreme right wing media outlet. And as to the quality of such arguments, I’ll quote what I told him relative to #4, among others:
“It may be reasonable to impute an anti-government attitude to the Fox News audience. But you failed to substantiate, (a) Why this is objectionable, and (b) What does it have to do McVeigh. Would you say that people who watch the Animal Planet Channel are dog lovers (like Adolf Hitler)?”

And lawyers are trained in rational thought processes...

Hugh Fitzerald's comments, as quoted by Zenster, are nothing but the naked truth... I think it was on Vladtepesblog that, not too long ago, I watched a long clip filmed on the streets of Paris during the mahoundians' weekly Nuremberg rallies, and their bullying and intimidation of everyone trying to move through the blocked roads or get them to get their rear ends up somewhere else was just one piece of evidence of that. And, from extra info on the clip, that display of inbred bedouin savagery lasts on average for 2 hours.

Had Hitler declared itself a prophet, just like Mahound, and stated that Mein Kampf was as divine a revelation as Mein Qurampf, we critics of nazism would all be labeled racist naziphobes by leftards and the UN.

What I don't understand is why a reasonable country is still in the UN. If I was the president of the US, my first act would be to get out of the UN and NATO and to kick all the UN officials out of the country, while repealling all the UN treaties that the US signed.

RV,

I concur. NATO needs to be gotten rid of. Turkey is in it, of all things. Its about time the EU has its own army. Free of external influence. Probably too late now, though.

I believe that by now it is evident that European and European derived countries will have to leave the United Nations or severely restrict its powers.

As the United Nations is actually an European idea - a very naïve and dangerous idea, at that - I can't figure how the European countries will restrict its powers while still allowing non-European countries to rule through it, albeit with less powers.

I imagine it will happen as it did with the Society of Nations, with Mussolini leaving it because his Italy wouldn't beneffit from it, and Hitler leaving it in order to actually rule his Germany at will. Unable to deal with massive absences as Germany, Italy or the Soviet Union - I'm not sure weather the United States of America were in or not - the system of the Society of Nations crumbled, because too much in the world was happening without passing through it, it became irrelevant.

The big question is who will start the trend and when?
I don't see European countries leaving the ONU as something radical, as if a complete paradigm shift in which we start to live in a complete different world is needed to take place first. That will actually mark the ending of the current paradigm as the current European (Western) elites start to understand that under the ONU system they have not the upper hand. They will run way to carry on their supremacy.

How can the current deranged European elites be under the yoke of the muslim elites, composed of arrogant absolutist and tyranical royalty as well as vicious religious warriors? Or the Chinese patriots, with so little regard for liberty or the individual vallue of the person, as we assume as basic in Europe: While lately in European Civilisation we have romanticiesed and overvalorised the individual, going even so far as to "embed the individual with personality so that we can devoid persons of personality in order to treat the persons as mere lose individuals", East Asians don't recognise the individual vallue of a person as a mere individual as we do, and focus instead on the collective, trying to de-personificate the individual. Although respecting the Human Person, they don't give the individual much importance.
Or even African elites, so damned tribal; and Bolivarianist Latin American elites: filled with anti European sentiment and an aggressive strain of Communism.

They simply can't be under these elites. They can tolerate them as long as they are on top, but when these elites gain power over the current Europeans ones, our elites will feel a need to retreat to a more docile and understanding people, easier for them to dominate because we already accept so much of the precepts that function as a condition to the imposition of their worldview, and their prevalence at the top of our societies.

So I see a Switzerland being the first Western country to leave the ONU (is it part of it?) or a poor victim like Serbia or a too dynamic anapologetic country like the Netherlands or Denmark.
But I believe the first of the big ones to leave it will be Russia, which is also a very one-of-a-kind and singular country. Then, we'll know the UN is dead.

Ah! And the intromission of the muslims in non muslim countries is sickening and it only happens because we allow them to do so. The United Nations is an European idea and will only exist as it beneffits the European elites (even if only theoretically, as it offers a divine legitimacy and "reality" to their worldview. It's a proof of good that legitimates our elites. It is also a main key to the implementation of their New World Order and Trans Nationalist (TRANZI) movement), and when it ceases to serve them, the UN will crumble.

In the end, the OIC is doing a great work to destroy the UN. For those who believe that the UN is a step to further, let's hope they don't read my comment and continue to harass our elites.

Concerning South Africans, I believe they will be extinct. Rape, genocide and (forced) miscegenation with European women will be enough to erradicate them in 4 generations (80 to 100 years).

But in the process they will serve as the perfect example of what happens when liberalism takes place and an ethnic group precieved to be superior - sorry, this is exactly the word I am searching for although I'm not judging who's superior or not, I want to leave this clear - goes trough a spectacular process of denigration, humiliation and ridicule of everything particular of it:
Genetics, Race, Origins, Homeland, Cultural Norms and Beliefs as well as Culture properly and also its Past, its History. And let's see what about their religion once that the Boers seem to have a lot in common with the early European inhabitants of New England.

The Boers may pay a very high price for having severed their ties with Europe. So I ask, do the Dutch feel strong connections to the Boer? Do they have any place where to return, where they would be not percieved as usurpers (please, don't answer USA)?

I don't know, I recently met two Dutch businessmen (or so they claimed) who were drunk and while changing insults and mocking each other just because, we happened to talk about the comming World Cup in Africa and praising each other's National Teams.

Portuguese: Here noone goes to the World Cup because in South Africa their favourite past time is to shoot Portuguese people.

Dutchmen: Yeah, they just shoot all white people.

He said that with a saddened tone, which made me think if there's a special relation between the Dutch and the Boer.

Should anyone doubt the Islam-Nazi connection, consider how Yasser Arafat's 'Uncle', Muhammed Amin al-Husseini, met with Adolph Hitler or that pro-Hamas demonstrations routinely feature crowds who chant, "Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the gas".

Can it be any more clear? What other Nazi sympathizing behavior is required to connect these continent-sized dots?

Satisfying as such an eviction might sound, I have seen posts by a retired member of America's intelligence community to the effect that information "gathered" by monitoring signals and traffic at the UN outweighs any benefit derived from giving them the proverbial heave ho. Emphasis on the word "ho".

Stop Islamophobia. Criticize Islam.

Islamophobia is the fear of Islam, particularly the fear of criticizing Islam in any way. The OIC, CAIR, MSA, EU, the so-called “United Nations Human Rights Council” and other major organizations actively promote Islamophobia in the name of supposedly combating Islamophobia.

Meanwhile, a small band of freedom loving people is fighting valiantly against Islamophobia. The Gates of Vienna is a major center of resistance. Moreover, Geert Wilders, Bat Ye’or, Andrew Bostom, and Ibn Warraq are heroes in the fight against the real Islamophobia. They are true heroes of our time.

Few events in modern history promote Islamophobia more than the September 11 attacks. The cartoon riots, the murder of Theo van Gogh, and a murder campaign by an organization calling itself al-Qaeda all promote Islamophobia.

I say Islam is nothing to be feared. It should be understood for what it is, and peaceful it is not. We should not fear telling the truth. We should not fear the waves of intimidation from Muslim fanatics. We must not let the House of Sa’ud or any other totalitarian state pull a veil over liberty.

So again, I say we must stop the Islamophobia that Muslim states are trying to impose upon humanity, and we must stop western subservience to those who would make others fear Islam, fear talking about Islam honestly, and fear criticizing Islam.

The freedom of speech is precious, far more precious than any stone idol. Islamophobia? Let’s use every media campaign against Islamophobia as a means to promote our message that the only people who aren’t Islamophobic are the ones who are not afraid to criticize Islam.

Stop Islamophobia. Criticize Islam.

Afonso,
With regard to Dutch sentiments regarding the Boers, I recall an article I linked to from GoV recently in which some South Africans were recalling their experience in Holland. After some time there it was quite clear to them that they were Africans, not Europeans even though this had been a key element in their self-identity. I wouldn't be surprised if the Dutch feelings concerning South Africans was of a similar nature.

Likewise, I am assuming you know the feelings of a Portuguese with regards to Brazilians (not Angolans, Mozambiquans, or Cape Verdans). The only case that should be different today is with France's overseas depts. where they are through and through Metropolitan French rather than colonial or creole, ie. St. Pierre & Miquelon off of Newfoundland are not Quebecois.

Gary, the EU doesn't need an army, the EU has to get abolished. The idea that the EU would get an army it's quite frightening. The last thing I want is to have my country under occupation, which is what the EU army would be.

Afonso, the UN needs to get abolished completely. It's existence is one of the features of the ideology that made us weak and allowed Islam to do what it's doing. Also, if the paradigm falls, I don't see why the Boers wouldn't get a separate state. If they won't be able to do that it means that we won't be in a better position either in 80 years. Glad I will probably be dead then. lol

Zenster, the problem is that UN treaties that get signed by the POTUS and passed by the Senate become as valid as the US constitution. Also, if people really do things that intel services need around the UN, they are stupider than I thought.

Zenster said...

rebelliousvanilla: Also, if people really do things that intel services need around the UN, they are stupider than I thought.

As Einstein once said:

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

If you would like an example of monumental stupidity in the espionage world, consider this:

Thinking that such apparatus could not be tapped, the USSR routinely sent unencrypted signals on its deep-water underseas cable.

The USA, using the ruse of developing underseas rescue equipment for its submarine crews, literally invented the sub-surface aquatic robot vehicle and then employed said craft to place taps on these same underwater Soviet telecom cables.

If the Communist's espionage experts were so lax, imagine how indiscreet rich relatives of this world's sundry tin pot dictators must be. The towering hubris of Third World diplomats is legendary.

As noted in the linked article:

These guys are obstinately oblivious regarding consequences.

As the most basic of examples, please think of how the UN's Oil-For-Palaces scandal broke open an entire web of European cooperation with Saddam's petroleum export subterfuge.

The hive of scum and villany known as the UN is a treasure trove of incompetent attachés who are so used to farting through silk they wouldn't know a CIA honeypot if she bit them on the neck, which probably happens during the requisite entanglements.

How is that any different to NATO. I would speculate that NATO is a bigger problem because it has the US influencing it and it also has Turkey.

If the EU exists, then an EU defence force makes sense. But it should be free of American and Turkish influence.

The EU already has a strong special police force called European Gendarmerie Force with thousands of employees from many member countries. The main goal of EGF is to "deal with big civil disturbances", which means they will use force against European citizens (of course, only natives) in case of disobedience and riots.

All that EU lacks to be the second Soviet Union is a strong repressive military force and the Gulag, but they're working hard on it. It's just a matter of time.

Cyrus, thanks for your reply.

About the Boers realising that they are actually African, I still don't understand how much of it is just nonesensical moaning.
I know several white Portuguese who have been born in Africa and had been there for generation. They may claim that they are really African and that but they have integrated wonderfully in this society. They're like 10% of the population (Well, those who've return, not those who've stayed there for generations).

Africa is a magnific country (especially the Southern part of it), or so they tell us. And as they were somewhat privilleged there, they probabily find life in Europe too difficult, cold and more boring.

"I don't see why the Boers wouldn't get a separate state."

Gee, honey! They are a tiny, insignificant, powerless and demonised minority - however wealthy.
Their State would meet more resistance than Israel. And they're not Jewish so not even our right wingers would support them.

My take? I don't care what they do. But they had all in their hands and toss it away.

"If they won't be able to do that it means that we won't be in a better position either in 80 years."

Open your eyes then! Of course that you're able to see why it is such a great difference.
I said that there will be needed 100 years or four generations to extinguish the Boers. How many generations will be needed to put Europeans in the same situation of South African whites?
That is, to be 10% of the population.

Rocha said...

Afonso,

The Boers will survive. But yes it would be intelligent to them to run for Botswana and or Namibia where they could become the majority. Unless a Mugabe appears on South Africa they will be opressed but that in my view is a good thing BECAUSE opressed people take their survival more seriously.
Now ONLY if the country breaks apart they can get their share of land. And ONLY if they do it quickly.

Europeans will be a minority before i die. Now from there things go quickly. Brazilians are 50% white now in 20 years we are expected to be 30%. How much more time to 10%? Ask your wifes...
