Some American's perspective:

"It is a two man race between Ron Paul and Romney for the nomination.
It is also a two man race between Ron Paul and Obama for the White House.
It's time Conservatives and people with any functioning brain cells in their heads started backing the only real candidate that will beat Obama and save America. And whether you like it or not, that candidate is, by default, Ron Paul."

I'm inclined to believe that Ron Paul represents the only realistic hope of avoiding the delegitimization of Federal government of the United States due to a combination of currency collapse and Constitutional crisis. But I'm not inclined to great certainty that he will accomplish preservation of the Federal authority if elected, far too much damage has already been sustained.

On the other hand, I do not regard preservation of the existing regime as essential to the survival of America itself. Certainly, a national collapse will result in catastrophic loss of life and property. But by and large those Americans most steeped in the essential values of the American republic will be well placed to restore legitimate government to the nation after the initial disruptions.

The only real danger is that Beijing will have realized America's essential capacity to recover from a collapse of the central government and will take measures (including the use of WMDs) to ensure that such a recovery does not take place. While there is no clear moral bar to this in their calculations, I believe that maintenance of deterrence capabilities will be sufficient to make it an unattractive option.

Not sure if you are aware of this horrific incident in the UK in which "Asian" youths have attacked a white man:

In other news, a culturally suicidal British judge predictably rules we cannot even deport a terrorist:
