Hazim Abu Ismail, a candidate for president in Egypt, says that freedom has no place under Islamic law. Mr. Ismail is affiliated with both the Muslim Brotherhood and the Salafists.
In other news, thousands of demonstrators gathered in downtown Athens to protest further austerity measures, and protestors also converged on Lisbon to express their displeasure with the Portuguese version of austerity.
