A Diversity-Free Prayer Room

Taxi drivers in Ontario learn their trade at the City of Toronto’s Taxi College. The city has thoughtfully provided the college with a “multi-faith” prayer room, where students affiliated with any religion can spiritually refresh themselves when not at their studies.

Or so the story goes, anyway. As the following video by Blazing Cat Fur demonstrates, only one religion is actually practiced in the prayer room, making a farce of the city’s motto, “Diversity is our strength”:

In all seriousness, we need to reclaim these rooms around the country so they are used as intended.

I think a Christian group should meet as well as a Jewish group and possibly even Seiks (if they have communal prayer). Don't deliberately be there for muslim prayer times but also don't stop just for them.

Certainly the mats should be tidied up after each muslim session and a cross put up on a wall.

Share and share alike I say.
