I’ll forego commentary on this news story, except for two brief notes:
1. | To Senator Graham: We are not in a war. President Obama says we’re not. It’s an Overseas Contingency Operation. Or maybe a Kinetic Engagement. Or perhaps a Man-Caused Discharge of Explosive Projectiles. But not a “war”.
2. | To readers of The Weekly Standard and National Review: This man is a Republican. Deal with it.
From Politico:
Graham: Explore Limits on Quran Burnings
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a military lawyer, is the first member of Congress to say the legislature needs to explore the possibility, however unlikely, of limiting some kinds of free speech — like Terry Jones’ Quran burning — that help America’s enemies.
“I wish we could find a way to hold people accountable. Free speech is a great idea, but we’re in a war,” he told CBS’s Bob Schieffer on “Face the Nation.”
“During World War II, we had limits on what you could do if it inspired the enemy,” Graham said, adding that he wanted to do “anything we can to push back here in America against acts like this that put our troops at risk.”
Graham also continued his attack on President Barack Obama’s decision to pull back in Libya saying, it “comforted” Col. Muammar Qadhafi and ensured a “stalemate” in Libya.
Instead, he urged “taking the fight to Tripoli” — targeting Qadhafi’s inner circle and arming the rebels with tank-killing missiles.
“Well, you certainly made some news,” Schieffer quipped after the five-minute interview.
Hat tip: heroyalwhyness.

RINO elected by demonrat direction..
The TEA Party was not around to primary that anti-American trash in 2008..
It's time to consider some "common sense" limits on domestic enemies to the Constitution.
RINOs come out of the closet after the election. Look at Scott Brown. Tea Party helped elect him. Ok, closing with Kennedy was cool, but Brown not really great one.
Can anyone now criticize China for lack of free speech?????
So to Graham, it is fine to put up websites glorifying jihad and murdering infidels and playing videos of beheadings by jihadists. That's free speech! But if you want to put up a video of you burning the koran, a book that repeatedly urges the believers to kill infidels, that is not free speech.
Only those who haven't read the Koran would oppose burning this playbook of sanctified Terror.
Or those who agree with its call to Terror.
Who are terrorist scum.
And will neeed to be burned off the Earth, either figuratively, or literally, in the years to come.
Islam is a maching imperialistism of utter intolerance and mandated murder.
Condemning and fighting it is the only course open for a sane civilization which wishes to survive.
Here's the problem I have with this whole issue:
1) Where was Graham when Fred Phelps and his Merry Band of Inbreds were lobbing hate grenades everywhere?
2) When Christians in Moslem countries were/are persecuted, churches burned/defiled, and clergy (e.g. nuns) murdered, where was the hue and cry from Graham to round up moslems and imprison them a la Manzanita Internment Center?
3) Why is this pinhead concerned more about WHAT caused the actions, as opposed to WHOM carried out the retributive actions???
Or am I quite mad?
The level of moral inversion contained in this article is staggering.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a military lawyer…
Hold everything. Houston, we have a problem. Graham is a member of the parasite class. Notice how he is seeking to sponsor legislation that will only enrich his fellow attorney parasites?
Graham … is the first member of Congress to say the legislature needs to explore the possibility, however unlikely, of limiting some kinds of free speech … that help America’s enemies.
Fine. We can start by locking away Graham as a prime example of someone who seeks to "help America’s enemies". Silencing the ability of Americans to expose and publicize the unutterably vile nature of Islam is nothing other than providing aid and comfort to our enemy in a time of jihad.
I wish we could find a way to hold people accountable. Free speech is a great idea, but we’re in a war…
What if we are in a "war" of words? Half of this battle is one of words and Islam continues to win the propaganda war hands down. Crippling Free Speech merely plays into the terrorist's hands. If we are going to "hold people accountable", Graham needs to head the line. He is committing treason, pure and simple.
During World War II, we had limits on what you could do if it inspired the enemy…
Does this pathetic loon really perceive using the Qur'an as kindling, or toilet paper for that matter, as "inspiring" our enemies? Cannot this cretinous sub-moron see that his efforts to shelter the Qur'an behind Constitutional protections will do far more to "inspire" the enemy than anything Pastor Terry Jones has ever done or ever will do in his entire lifetime?
Graham said, adding that he wanted to do “anything we can to push back here in America against acts like this that put our troops at risk.”
If he really means it, then Graham should resign his office at once. His work on behalf of Islam's cause does more to endanger our troops than that of the Taliban.
If the war against Islam is lost on our own shores, what happens abroad will be of little consequence.
As I said, the moral inversion of this traitorous parasite is simply staggering.
Lindsey Graham is a RINO and a DHIMMI. I have watched this man's career for many years and he sickens me. I really do not care one bit what some Muslims thinks about me or my country. I think Muslims are retarded cavemen. Who would choose Islam as a religion?
"During World War II, we had limits on what you could do if it inspired the enemy."
You mean... during World War II, it was forbidden in America to burn Mein Kampf in public ?
What a glairing contradiction!
It's all a lot of talk at this stage. But its also a lot of lack of talk at this stage too. CNN refused to air the recent interview with the Koran burning pastor, due to "hate speech". You see how they work it? Accuse somebody of a vile act, without identifying the exact wording involved. All that does is cause people to dig in deeper. In the meantime, its an open invitation for jihadists to become more and more aggressive, and more and more ridiculous. If you have Muslim neighbors and you decide to have an outdoor pig roast, expect complaints for offending your Muslim neighbors. If the law refuses to fine or prosecute you for the offense, expect riots.
As for Graham, when he comes up for re-election in the SC primary, he needs to be put in his place, otherwise known as "the private sector".
"Accuse somebody of a vile act, without identifying the exact wording involved." (The Pagan Temple)
This is becoming more common by the day in France.
See, Mr. So and So has said something really hateful and racist and we feel it's our duty to tell you he's been vilified and socially excluded and maybe prosecuted for that, however we can't possibly reveal what he actually said, since that would be racist, and of course we wouldn't like to offend your delicate sensitivities by publishing/airing "content" that might be deemed "offensive".
(People don't say anything anymore : they "produce content".)
Under Stalin, you learned one morning that a bunch of generals were in fact enemies of the people, and, by the way, we shot them yesterday.
This is not fundamentally different.
Next they will be trying to require us to say the word holy before the Koran or bow before it or else risk offending Muslims by not showing proper submissive reverence.
These tests show the true sorry state of our nation. Our so called leaders representatives and officials are already spirituality chained and in slavery. The mind perceives what is communicated mentally, just because it is not made obvious in a fleshly way, people continue to only trust their eyes and discount what is spoken clearly and loudly to the mind. Having eyes they see not ears they hear not and do not understand with their hearts.
anything we can to push back here in America against acts like this that put our troops at risk.
He is arguing that the American military needs protection from Americans excercising their constitutional right. I would argue that really Sen. Lindsey Graham is the one that is guilty of "inspiring the enemy".
