Gates of Vienna News Feed 4/18/2011

Gates of Vienna News Feed 4/18/2011On Saturday, both reactors at the Surry nuclear power plant right here in the Commonwealth of Virginia shut down when a tornado touched down not far from the plant and cut the supply of electricity. The reactors shut down automatically, and diesel generators started up to keep both units running. The NRC says that no harmful radiation was released.

I’m not so sure, however: I just looked in the mirror, and a third eye has mysteriously appeared in the middle of my forehead. I turned out the light, and noticed that my hands and feet are now glowing green…

In other news, Moody’s has cut the rating on Ireland’s bonds to junk status, and the number of credit defaults in Spain has risen to its highest level in 16 years.

Link to the full news post is bad.

Time travels back to 2003!

The link is not "bad". The full news posts are stored in 2003 (an otherwise unused year on this blog, which began in 2004) in order to avoid the truncation that Blogger imposes on pages of excessive length.

It's not a bug; it's a feature.

I love features. Especially double features...do they have them anymore?
