Gates of Vienna News Feed 10/13/2010The Ontario Court of Appeal overturned a lower court’s decision that required a Muslim woman testifying as a witness to appear in court unveiled. The court left the door open for the woman to demonstrate that her religion requires her to be veiled, and that her beliefs are sincere.

In other news, recent polls suggest that Germans are becomingly increasingly xenophobic. Almost a third of respondents believe that when unemployment is high, foreigners should be sent home.
