Gates of Vienna News Feed 7/18/2010

Gates of Vienna News Feed 7/18/2010The new prime minister of Australia, Julia Gillard, is reportedly a lesbian, and is also an avowed atheist who refused to take the oath of office on a Bible. Some political observers consider Ms. Gillard’s atheism a liability, but most people think her religious beliefs (or lack thereof) will have no effect on her political career.

In other news, tensions over the May 31 Turkish-backed “Gaza flotilla” are among the many factors that have caused Israeli tourism to Turkey to drop considerably during the past year.

This is from Wikipedia:

"Gillard's partner since 2006 is Tim Mathieson. She had previous relationships with union officials Michael O'Connor and Bruce Wilson and fellow Federal Labor MP Craig Emerson. She has never married and has had no children.

Gillard was brought up in the Baptist tradition, but is not religious. In a 2010 interview when asked if she believed in God, Gillard stated: "No I don't ... I'm not a religious person ... [I'm] a great respecter of religious beliefs but they're not my beliefs."

So her boyfriend is a hairdresser? That's practically like being a lesbian.

Richard Hoste: Postmodern Dhimmitude

For all the outward differences, Swedish feminists share with Mr. “Hoste’s” mullahs the desire for a monistic One World. They both long for the Great Gleichschaltung [a Nazi term for "enforcement of standardization"] that will end in Strobe Talbot’s Single Global Authority, post-national and seamlessly standardized, an ummah under whatever name.

As is so often the case, Srdja Trifkovic, gets it. Be it even on a sub-conscious level − and it very well may be − the post-modern feminists clearly long for an über-state as surrogate husband-provider-protector. His comparison of Islam's ummah with a "one-world community" is right on the money and goes a very long way towards explaining the Liberal Left's inexplicably obscene enamorment with all things Muslim.

Even in the absence of a life-altering event, normal people should not succumb to the myth that the game is up, that Dar al Islam is the end of the road for all of us, let alone “the least of all evils.”

Au contraire. Islam's gruesome challenge to the West is only this game's beginning. Civilization's rejection of Muslim theocracy is just an opening salvo in a barrage that needs to include the eventual dismantling of unbridled transnationalist corporate greed and its hijacking of free market Capitalism that has done so much to disarray Western culture in the face of its enemies.

Islam and Communism alike need to be forcibly discarded as the illegitimate, outmoded and intolerable parasites that they are upon the modern world.

I suspect the idea that Gillard is homosexual is a bit of a furphy, she is however a committed atheist and Marxist.

When Gillard was elevated to the office of Prime Minister, the "progressive" had thought their utopia was on the horizon, alas sadly for them it is not to be. Now they are very angry with her because not only has she taken a hard stance against illegals (so called asylum seekers), she has stated that she is against the idea of homosexual marriage.

She has been sending out very mixed message in this regard, clearly in an attempt to slurp up the conservative vote. It is a tacit admission that Australians by and large do not support the 'progressive' multiculturalist agenda.
