“Is There Anything Uglier Than This Shari’a on the Face of the Earth?”

The video below is an excerpt from an Arabic-language television debate between Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed and Dr. Wafa Sultan.

Both participants were born in Syria in 1958 and later emigrated, but their paths in life have diverged significantly in the years since.

Dr. Sultan moved to the United States, escaped from Islam, and became an outspoken apostate and critic of Islam who now lives under the threat of death.

Sheikh Omar moved to Britain and became an Islamic zealot. He worked tirelessly to make the radical group Hizb ut-Tahrir into a formidable organization in the UK. He founded the now-banned organization Al-Muhajiroun, to which several of the 7/7 bombers belonged. He is the mentor and close associate of Anjem Choudary, the Ilford firebrand. He fled Britain in 2004 to escape prosecution, and now lives in Lebanon.

Below are selected words of wisdom spoken at various times by Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed:

  • “We don’t force people to become Muslims, but definitely we will force Islamic rule on all the world [when] we have power.”
  • “We are obliged as Muslims to make the whole galaxy subservient to almighty Allah.”
  • “The 7/7 bombers were just ordinary Muslims in the community. It shows how your evil policies have pushed them.”
  • “You want to declare war against us? We will declare Islam against you. It is time for you to wake up before it is too late.”
  • “One day, the Muslims you enrolled in your European police and armed forces will rise, and they will crush you.”

Even the Pentagon would have to admit that Sheikh Omar is an “extremist”. But if you follow his statements closely in the video below, you’ll notice that his assertions simply express the standard teachings of Islamic law as it is understood by millions of Sunni Muslims all over the world. What he says is straight out of Reliance of the Traveller and Saudi school textbooks. The same doctrines — the supremacy of Islam, the inequality of men and women, and the obligation to spread Islam by force — are taught to children in Indonesian primary schools and read out in mosques in the United States.

In other words, “extremism” is mainstream in Islam.

We owe a great debt to the courageous Dr. Sultan for confronting this monster in his own language. Many thanks to Translating Jihad for the translation, and to Vlad Tepes for the subtitling:

A full transcript is below the jump:

17:20 Host: Sheikh Omar, what are human rights under the shari’a? Can you explain this for us?
17:28 Omar Bakri: The shari’a has defined human rights for Muslims and for non-Muslims.
17:36 The non-Muslim has chosen not to accept the judgments of Allah.
17:41 Therefore, yes, his rights differ from those of a Muslim.
17:44 I say that they are not equal.
17:48 The other party might disagree with me, that’s fine.
17:51 That’s her opinion.
17:53 But Islam gave rights to man,
17:58 in order to satisfy his needs and take care of his affairs. Muslims and non-Muslims who have previously
18:06 made a peace treaty or a dhimmi pact,
18:10 are equal when it comes to citizenship.
18:15 In other words, they are the same.
18:18 The Islamic state and the Islamic shari’a, when governed thereby,
18:20 guarantee their political needs,
18:23 such as shelter, food, clothing, security, education, and health care,
18:29 for they are under the care of the Islamic state.
18:32 However, this equality does not mean that you are exactly like us.
18:38 Yes, a non-Muslim under the Islamic shari’a cannot have any rights
18:45 except those which Allah has legislated for him.
18:50 Allah has legislated that he may have his belief, religion, clothes,
18:56 and everything which is needed by all citizens, Muslim or non-Muslim.
19:03 Now the Muslim has greater rights and respect because he is Muslim,
19:08 for Islam is above others, and never below, so the Muslim is above others, and never below.
21:31 Omar Bakri: I don’t believe in the equality of man,
21:34 because men are not equal in the eyes of Allah.
21:37 He commanded us to not make them equal.
21:40 For example, I have the right to marry a Christian or Jewish girl,
21:45 but it is not permissible for a Jewish man to marry a Muslim girl.
21:49 This is correct. I am not calling for equality.
21:53 When I go to Britain or Europe, I have the same right -- my blood and property are inviolable.
21:58 In exchange, their blood and property are also inviolable through this peace treaty.
22:02 Their blood and property have no protection except through a peace treaty or a dhimmi pact.
22:09 Thus Allah has commanded -- you can either accept it or reject it.
22:14 Wafa Sultan: So when you travel to a Western land you consider it the land of Allah,
22:21 and you want your beliefs to apply there?
22:25 Omar Bakri: Yes.
22:25 Wafa Sultan: You want to dictate to the native inhabitants of the country what they can do?
22:28 Omar Bakri: I invite them, and if they accept the command of Allah, then they may do so.
22:33 If they don’t accept, and kick me out of the country, then we will fight against them.
22:36 The relationship between us is either a pact of belief in Allah, or a peace treaty, or war.
22:43 The general rule is that the blood and property of non-Muslims are permissible for us.
22:47 Their blood and property are not inviolable.
22:49 It is in their interest to have a peace treaty or dhimmi pact with me.
22:54 It is in your interest, you who say that you do not believe in Islam,
22:58 to accept that there be a peace treaty or dhimmi pact between us.
23:04 The dhimmi pact falls under the Islamic shari’a,
23:06 but the peace treaty does not subject you to the shari’a. That’s the way it is. Either you accept it, or we live in a state of war.
23:15 The general rule is that the blood and property of infidels are permissible for Muslims.
23:20 The Prophet Muhammad even said, “I was sent to fight against the people
23:23 until they testify that there is no god but Allah, and I am the apostle of Allah.”
23:28 Therefore if he said, “Their blood and property are inviolable from me,”
23:31 then their blood and property would be inviolable if they believed in Islam or accepted a peace treaty.
23:38 It is either through faith or a peace treaty that man lives with his neighbor.
23:46 But a Muslim coexists with an infidel either through a peace treaty, a dhimmi pact, or a state of war.
23:53 This is the basic relationship between a Muslim and an infidel.
23:56 Host: Thank you, Sheikh Omar.
23:59 You went over your time, but it helped us gain a complete understanding of the topic.
24:05 Dr. Wafa, what do you think about what Sheikh Omar Bakri said?
24:07 Wafa Sultan: I think that Sheikh Omar Bakri’s response should be recorded here.
24:12 He was clear and frank, and explained the doctrine of Islam
24:17 to the point that there is nothing left for me to reveal of that repulsive truth.
24:23 Muslims here in America boast that the human rights recognized worldwide
24:30 are the same as the rights under Islam.
24:33 They boast that men’s rights are the same as women’s rights.
24:38 They boast that Muslims’ rights are the same as non-Muslims’ rights.
24:43 They boast that the shari’a can coexist with the American constitution.
24:50 Therefore we should record Sheikh Omar Bakri’s response, for he did not dissemble,
24:58 but instead manifested the truth of his religion in all its ugliness and hideousness.
25:06 Under the shari’a he is required to fight against others until they believe what he believes.
25:15 Is there anything uglier than this shari’a on the face of the earth?
25:22 Is there anything uglier than that this should be imposed upon me by force, by arms?
25:30 When we tell Americans here that Islam was spread by the sword,
25:35 Muslims scream that this is not true, that it was spread by tolerance and the free word.
25:45 But I want to stress what Sheikh Omar Bakri said, for he is a true Muslim,
25:56 and has revealed to us the truth of Islam without equivocation.
26:05 All the world should take note of the danger of this doctrine and fight against it with all their strength,
26:16 for we cannot accept that any man on the face of the earth should force us to believe in his god.

In history they said that Hammurabi Law was quite similar to Sharia Law. I studied Hammurabi Law when i was little, to school, and most that you can find in Sharia law, was part of Hammurabi law (in Hammurabi law almost every crime was punished with death or hand chop). Guess what country was? Egypt, in Islamia.

Anyway, History tells that there is nothing uglier than Sharia and Hammurabi law

“We are obliged as Muslims to make the whole galaxy subservient to almighty Allah.” - GALAXY? They're more crazy than i believed

In other words, “extremism” is mainstream in Islam.
Even italian wikipedia admits that

Questo di per sé eliminerebbe la necessità di parlare di un "integralismo islamico", dal momento che l'Islam ha per definizione un approccio "integrale" alla realtà fenomenologica, senza alcuna separazione fra aspetti mondani e ultramondani.

(Translation - sorry if maybe it is not clear, italian and english are deeply different language) This would remove the need to speak about 'islamic fundamentalism', because islam itself has an 'integral' approach, without separation from worldly and otherworldly aspects.

That Omar sounds bully. He talks exactly like them. How ugly is islam, and the worst thing is thinking that we may die under sharia law as dhimmi :(
Somethimes i wist to go in some land that is sharia free (i hope some still exist)

Long live to Dr. Wafa!!!

But I agree with one thing he says: "We will declare Islam against you. It is time for you to wake up before it is too late.”

The west should listen to him.

I posted this video on another site.

I just love it when they say what they mean and mean what they say.

This barrow would be a wonderful replacement for "All American Muslim".

"Sharing Sharia" hosted by Uncle Omar!

But I wonder how many Westerners would wake up, even then.

As a matter of fact, that was in Mesopotamia, todays Iraq. And the Hammurabi Laws- hundreds of stipulations, about 2000 years before Islam - contain a lot of reasonable civil laws on property, course of justice and so on, for those times!
