A county commissioner for West Miami-Dade in Florida says that the huge house a Muslim resident is building in his district is really a mosque. The owner of the property says that the building is simply a house for his mother, and that the commissioner’s accusations are fueled by racism, discrimination, and religious intolerance.
In other news, European banks are concerned about capital flight, after panicky depositors withdrew more than a billion euros from banks in Greece and Spain over the past week. Meanwhile, several international airlines have terminated service to Greece, thanks to the collapse of the Greek tourism industry.
