The Verdict From Camelot

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Geert Wilders

It’s official: Geert Wilders is a racist.

How do we know? A Kennedy said so! No further proof is required.

Many thanks to the PVV for sending this report:

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the son of American presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, who was murdered in 1968, is currently in the Netherlands. He gave an interview to the left-wing television channel NCRV in which he said that Geert Wilders is a racist:

Interviewer: You call him [Wilders] a racist?
Kennedy: Yeah, of course.
Interviewer: But why?
Kennedy: Because he is a fearmonger. And it struck me, it has occurred to my many times that every nation, like every individual, has a darker side and a lighter side. The easiest thing for a politician like Mr. Wilders to do is to appeal to our self interest, to our greed, to our xenophobia, to our bigotry, to the smallness inside all of us, to our hatred, and to our selfishness. And that it is much more difficult to do what my father did, which was to convince people to step outside of their narrow self-interest and make sacrifices on behalf of our entire community and see ourselves as part of the larger community.

In a reaction to the interview Mr. Wilders said, “This is clearly utter nonsense and malicious. To me, racism is just as despicable as to anyone else with common sense. Kennedy Jr. is either badly informed or he does not know what he is saying. That is a pity.”

The part of the interview on Wilders can be seen here:

A Kennedy calling someone a 'fearmonger?' Pot, meet kettle.

Last I checked, Islam or Muslim is not a race.

I am glad Kennedy owns 'selfishness, hatred and smallness.' Robert Kennedy, his late father, was going to go after the mafia. I guess that made him a racist too.

Miss C beat me to it.

How hypocritical of a Kennedy to judge anyone for appealing to self interest and greed.

That being said... the racist remark is both ignorant in that it is clearly wrong.

In the end, what we have is another Kennedy making a buttocks out of himself and not even knowing it. At best this reflects upon him as a fool.

So, another ignorant foolish comment coming from a Kennedy? No surprise there.

Who is this "our" that he refers to?

It's official: this doesn't undermine Wilders's authority at all.
If anything, the pronouncement will draw more supporters to him; it shows more about the accuser than the accused.
Irrationality is so . . . so unattractive!

Quote from Ken:

"The easiest thing for a politician like Mr. Wilders to do.."

Oh yeah, it's so easy you know?

Just have a go at that poor "religion", endure all kinds of abuse, allow yourself to be startled by a day without a death threat, live in hiding with your wife in bunkers and other anonymous places for the rest of your political life, find yourself being dragged to a kangaroo court to undergo a show trial that would be hilarious if it weren't so diabolical.

Yeah Mr. Ken, it's so easy to pull off in a country where a politician and a film maker were already murdered because of their opinions about Islam. Why don't you try it yourself? Come on, it's great fun to live in hiding, exploring the underground of truth with your own barbie doll and see how she likes it. You pompous rectal aperture!

My sincere apologies to all owners, past and present, of the infamous doll mentioned in my previous post.

Barbie is made of plastic, so there's at least some substance to the girl ;-)

Ah heck, the word racist from a Kennedy translates to "you disagree with me". Furthermore, who gives a damn what RFK Jr opines?

One day, people like him are going to come and incinerate us and mutilate us in a "humanitarian bombing campaign".

This "COEXIST" bumper sticker morality is going to be the end of us.

As the one-time heroin addicted offspring of the American presidential candidate, Robert F. Kennedy Sr., who was assassinated by Sirhan Sirhan (a 24-year-old Palestinian immigrant) RFK Jr., of all people, should know better. JFK Jr. is a sad addle-brained commie fool.

This is about as surprising as seeing the sun on a clear cloudless day.

Do the Myth:

1) Muslims are an Ethnic People (or a wondrously diverse rainbow of Ethnic Peoples)

2) The vast majority of Muslims are decent human beings like we are (only a Tiny Minority are Extremists who are twisting good Islam)

3) To make broad sweeping generalizations about Islam is to imply too much of a broad brush condemnation of Muslims and will tend to lead us white Westerners down a slippery slope toward bigotry and racism -- which, unless we nip them in the bud, are the thought crimes that precede lynchings, rounding up, detention camps, and exterminations.

4) Geert Wilders indulges in #3: therefore, obviously, he's a "racist".

No need for thought about the matter. No need to actually study Islamic texts, history, and current events. Just plug in the PC MC machine, flip the switch, feed data into it, and out the other end pop out conclusions on any topic, any issue, any person.

RFK, Jr. is a kneejerk, pompous p.c.-pontificating airhead in as much contact with reality as a fence post turtle is with the ground.

RFK, who was a solid supporter of Israel and who was assassinated because of it on the 1st anniversary of the Six Day War by pro-Palesinian activist Sirhan Sirhan, deserved a better namesake.

Wilders is fighting the same battle his father was murdered because of.

If only Bobby Jr. knew.

Kennedy is unlikely poorly informed, but he knows exactly what he is doing.

Indeed. Quoted for truth.

@Homophobic Horse:

That already happened to the Serbs, and for the same reason. Too many Serbs objected to being driven off their lands and killed by Muslims.

Who is Robert F Kennedy ?

"...Robert F. Kennedy Sr., who was assassinated by Sirhan Sirhan (a 24-year-old Palestinian immigrant)..."

As Daniel Pipes has shown, Sirhan Sirhan was a non-Muslim Middle Eastern Arab Christian; and as Hugh Fitzgerald has then helpfully unpacked that, Sirhan Sirhan was what I believe Hugh has coined an Islamochristian -- basically a type of Christian typically Middle Eastern and Maghrebian who has assimilated (through years, decades, generations, centuries of physical and psychic abuse by Muslims) the Islamic agenda to one degree or another.

Sirhan Sirhan would be the classic epitome of the Islamochristian (another famous one was Tariq Aziz, variously described as Saddam Hussein's "top aide", "deputy premier", "foreign minister", etc. and who was apparently a "Chaldean Catholic" (which could be the same type of "Eastern Rite Catholicism" to which Robert Spencer belongs, by the way) and whose execution was apparently recently stayed -- to the relief, apparently, of the Catholic archbishop of Kirkuk, Monsignor Louis Sako).

This from a man who's grandfather ran rum from Canada, who's uncle slept with Marilyn and who's family is no stranger to drug abuse, while each generation did what it could to make their family richer and richer. I guess if your family lives up in an Ivory Tower and yo don't have to deal with the real working world you can call other people racists. If he actually had to work or live around Muslims he and his family would be singing a different tune.

Kufar Dawg said...

For Hesperado,

Tariq Aziz is a MUSLIM name, one taken by Mikhail Yuhanna before he ever went anywhere in Saddam's government.

Robert F. Kennedy jr. may be a member of America’s ruling class, but that doesn’t give this formerly convicted heroin user the right pontificate on a subject he apparently is woefully ignorant of.
