Gates of Vienna News Feed 6/9/2011The German finance minister says that the bailout of Greece by the “troika” didn’t work, and acknowledges that Greek debt will need to be “restructured” — a euphemism for defaulting on at least part of its debt.

In other news, Libyan government forces loyal to Col. Moammar Ghadhafi are advancing on the rebel-held stronghold of Misrata. Thousands of troops are attacking from three directions, and fighting is said to be heavy.
