The OIC’s In-Depth Research on the Counterjihad

I wrote earlier today about the OIC’s recently-released Islamophobia Observatory report (pdf), which caused a sensation in the kuffar world because it reprinted the blasphemous cartoon of Mohammed the Pig.

From our point of view, the report is distinctive for another reason: it mentions Gates of Vienna. And why shouldn’t it? I would feel slighted if we were left out of a report on Islamophobia.

The paragraph below is from page 5 of the report (color-coding will be explained below):

A Fascist Summit Meeting in Belgium — on February 24 some European far right groups met in a VB-sponsored event in the Belgian city of Ghent featuring Frank Vanhecke of the Vlaams Belang (a European party promoted by “anti-jihad” bloggers such as Pamela Geller, Gates of Vienna, and Brussels Journal), Nick Griffin of the BNP (British National Party), Bruno Gollnisch of the National Front, and Andreas Molzer of the Austrian FPO.

The wording of this item sounded suspiciously familiar — I knew I’d read it somewhere recently… was it at Little Green Footballs? Sure enough, just below the poster image is a citation from True/Slant, at which Charles Johnson seems to have posting privileges.

Check out the color-coded sections in this excerpt from the same text cross-posted at Little Green Footballs, and compare them with the same colors in the OIC item:

Here’s some interesting news from the far right scene in Europe. For years, the Belgian Vlaams Belang party (a European party promoted by “anti-jihad” bloggers such as Pamela Geller, Gates of Vienna, and Brussels Journal) tried to deny they had any connection to the neo-Nazi British National Party.

Well, they just stopped hiding it. A VB-sponsored event in the Belgian city of Ghent yesterday featured Frank Vanhecke of the Vlaams Belang, Nick Griffin of the BNP, Bruno Gollnisch of the National Front, and Andreas Molzer of the Austrian FPO. A who’s who of outright Nazis, fascists, and Holocaust deniers.

As you can see, the OIC’s text was lifted virtually verbatim from Charles Johnson and rearranged slightly for the Islamophobia Observatory. The OIC even replicated LGF’s error in using “FPO” instead of FPÖ. Also notice that Mr. Johnson relied on UAF (“United Against Fascism”, the British equivalent of Antifa) for his scoop.

So the Organization of the Islamic Conference is using Charles Johnson as its primary source of information on us, eh? That’s a good business decision on their part — it guarantees that they will get complete, thorough, accurate, and unbiased material. There’s no better way to gather a dossier on the Counterjihad.

Yup. Uh-huh. Right.

You have arrived, Baron.

The OIC took notice of you. You are a fearsome enemy of Islam.

Envy!

Congrats!

I'd say it was Chas who has arrived. He rates among his devout believers the stalwart members of the OIC.

Indeed Dymphna.

GoV webmasters, being singled out by the OIC as noteworthy anti Islamic activists isnt enviable either.

I hope you have a panic room. It's not unlikely you will become the next Kurt and Lars. Especially considering you have posted photos of your house and the surroundings. The devout followers of mahound are probably trying to identify as we speak. Even if you don't spot any ragheads that doesn't mean anything, not now when they have their Jane's and Jamie's and Adam Gahdan and other loony converts. Just be careful.

Perhaps not quite yet, but when he most certainly does we can all quite sure it will be someplace rather warm.

Having one's work product serve the OIC's ends is not anything I would like to have on my own conscience. One is obliged to speculate as to whether Chas is actually celebrating this turn of events.

As Pyrrhus said: "Another victory like this ..."

Well, that happened with EuropeNews earlier on. No ill effects have been reported so far.

Well lookee lookee on page 2, section iii - it appears that Jihad does mean "holy war" after all.

Well if he doesn't immediately distance himself from it, like he demands everyone else do, then we can assume he is in total agreement with them.
