Internet filtering by governments is becoming more widespread. New Zealand has implemented a filtering regime without really informing the public, and Australia — using the rationale of preventing access to child porn — is preparing its own system.
In other news, the Dutch nurses’ union is backing up one of its members who refused to provide sexual services to a patient. The union says that providing sexual favors is not in a nurse’s job description, even if a patient believes they are part of his “treatment plan”.
