Mario Draghi, the president of the European Central Bank, told an audience in London that the ECB would do whatever it takes to save the euro. The financial markets responded positively, and European stock prices rallied as a result. Meanwhile, Citigroup analysts say there is a 90% chance that Greece will abandon the euro.
In other news, a pair of female hikers in Switzerland was attacked by a herd of cows. One of the women sustained head injuries from the attack, and is undergoing hospital treatment.
