Gates of Vienna News Feed 11/29/2010

Gates of Vienna News Feed 11/29/2010Two nuclear scientists in Iran were attacked today by bombers who rode motorcycles. The motorcyclists approached the vehicles and attached small bombs to their windows. One of the two scientists was killed, and the other was seriously injured.

In other news, the fallout continues from the massive new Wikileaks document release. Various politicians — including Silvio Berlusconi, Angela Merkel, and Hillary Clinton — have been forced to react to the revelations, some of them not at all flattering.

Attacks on nuclear scientists in Iran will only increase after the wikileak documents show other arab nations calling for the US to attack and intervene with Iran's nuclear program. Some leaders have called for the US to "cut the head off the snake" and stated that "the consequences of not attacking will be greater than attacking".

Hopefully the people of Iran will put pressure on their own government to stop it now before they prevent a middle-eastern arms race and another war.
