Canada Takes a Stand

Remember when the United States had a conservative — well, sort of conservative — government, and Canada was ultra-liberal? Well those days are gone.

The world has turned upside down, and the Hussein administration has joined the OIC and most of Europe by turning against Israel. But not Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper — here’s what he had to say in a recent TV appearance:

"Pro-Israel" is a very easy position to take in Canada. Let's see him call for putting a moratorium on immigration. Anything else is just silly parlor games.

Another holocaust is not only possible but even likely given how anti-Semitic Europe has turned. Genocide against the Jews is once more rearing its ugly head and way too many people are looking the other way.

I wonder what the timing of that statement was relative to this rebuke:

Canada denied seat on UN Security Council Oct 12, 2010
The development represented a significant embarrassment to Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who travelled to New York last month to plead Canada's case.

Canada failed to acquire the necessary votes to sit on the Security Council.

It is already feeling the results of standing up for moral righteousness.
