Gates of Vienna News Feed 12/2/2012Two Taliban suicide bombers detonated their vehicle outside an American military base in Afghanistan. Several Afghanis were killed — some accounts say five, others a dozen or more — and an undetermined number of people were wounded. The attackers were unable to breach the entrance to the base.

In other news, German Chancellor Angela Merkel says Greece must remain within the Eurozone to prevent “instability”, but she won’t rule out the possibility that Greece’s creditors may have to take a haircut on their exposure to Greek debt.
