Protesters outside the presidential palace in Cairo chanted “Murderer, murderer” at Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi. Elsewhere in Cairo, a mob torched the offices of the Muslim Brotherhood. President Obama phoned President Morsi and warned him to act with restraint, saying that all parties to the conflict must refrain from violence.
In other news, about 25% of the population of the Eurozone is said to be near the poverty level. The rates in Greece and Spain are 31% and 27% respectively.
