An independent U.S. government panel has issued a report on the terror attack in Benghazi last September, blaming the State Department for multiple failures in providing security and protection for the ambassador and the Benghazi consulate. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says she accepts the report’s conclusions, and will work to implement changes in policy.
In other news, President Obama says he will send Congress proposed new gun control legislation within the next few weeks.
