The news feed is light tonight for some reason — maybe most of our tipsters were down in the bomb shelter with no wi-fi after the North Koreans launched their long-range missile. The test missile passed over Okinawa and then broke up after the second stage separated. Pieces of the rocket fell into the ocean near the Philippines.
In other news, an unidentified masked gunman opened fire on crowds of Christmas shoppers in a mall in Portland, Oregon. He killed two people and wounded a number of others before killing himself.
