Two hundred and thirty-six years ago today the American colonists declared their independence from the Mother Country.
At the court of King George III, the conversation that day between His Royal Highness and his foreign secretary went something like this:
King: | What’s the news from America?
FS: | The colonists are revolting.
King: | I already know that, man! Tell me the news. |
Some advice for my fellow Americans on this hot, hot July 4th:
1. | Hole up in the shade somewhere until the sun goes down.
2. | While you wait, tell the Autocrat-in-Chief exactly where he can stick his new “taxes”.
3. | Then, in the cool of the evening, seek out activities involving Beef, Beer, and BOOM! |

Don't feel like celebrating. This is no longer a free country.
I love my country but fear my government.
Have a good and safe Fourth.

Prayer: the only meaningful activity for US Independence Day 2012
