A movie about Barack Obama’s childhood opened today in Indonesia. It features the future president defending himself against bullies, but also shows how he eventually develops his skills for negotiation and compromise. A 12-year-old mixed-race actor plays the Child Barry. In unrelated news, President Obama is pledging to spend $160 million to aid education in Indonesia, and says he will work to help Indonesia fight climate change.
