“If They Wanna Fight Us, Then They Need to be Men”

A Mexican business in Reno, Nevada recently flew a Mexican flag with the American flag flying below it. Not only is this disrespectful of the country that these Mexicans live in, it is actually against the law here in the USA to fly a foreign flag above our national flag.

A US Army veteran named Jim Brossard who lives in Reno saw what was happening and decided to take action, without waiting for the authorities, using his own Army-issue knife.

Fortunately for the rest of us, a TV reporter was present with his video camera. Take a moment to watch this very inspiring video.

There’s more information at Breitbart, and also at the Radio Patriot.

God bless him, and let’s hope there are more like him, and that they are registered to vote in next year’s election.

Hat tip: A New Knighthood.

Kinda interesting case, so I googled : Jim Broussard Reno

And google shows the number three website turns out to be DailyKos
Mendez v. Westminster and the Racist Jim Broussard
. Great title, huh? Pretty unpleasant to read :

I’ve had my dealings with the likes of racists like Jim Broussard before and they share several traits: Ignorance, hate, cowardice, and a sociopathic sense of entitlement to inflict their authoritarian, sick vision of: White America rules!

Faaaascinating. Add a truely nasty infestation of marxists in the comments as well. As much time as I spend lurking on American leftist sites the sheer irrationality of them still stuns me. They make European old school communists seem reasonable.

This video just made my day!

However, he needs to sharpen that knife.

According to this site, it's not illegal at all; merely against etiquette. Thus this veteran's actions could well be construed as vandalism.

(I also am wondering if this man is consistent and gets out his knife whenever he sees a flag flying in the rain.)

I have one word for this. Sweet.

It's not against the law to fly another country's flag above Old Glory, but it does break the protocol of flag etiquette.

Beckwith - my point exactly. While this may be offensive to people here, it's not illegal, and the only one acting illegally is the veteran.

The man in the southwestern US pictured in this video is reacting to years of illegal aliens' dismissal of America. The old rules -- which have served us well since the first floods of immigrants -- were that you fought your way up the ladder and made your fellow-citizens accept your right to be here. Which, of course, they did. Ask the Italians, the Irish, the Jewsm the Greeks, the Poles, the Armenians, etc.

The Hispanics, in addition to trashing much of the southwest, bankrupting small towns' welfare services, and refusing to acculturate, are finally meeting resistance.

The restaurant owner was rude and he knew it. That's why he wouldn't reply to the interviewer. His deliberate thumb-in-your-eye hoisting of the Mexican flag above the flag of the country he was residing in was a deliberate provocation. The Army vet answered the provocation and raised the ante.

The vet's "vandalism" disappears in the avalanche of assaults, robberies, rapes, murders, and drug running brought into this country by people who refuse to speak our language or follow our customs. People who treat us with contempt.

Our elitists have made patriotism appear the refuge of jingoists. It is sooo politically incorrect to set limits to those who would abuse our laws, customs and folkways and instead would substitute their own, using organizations like La Raza to push separatism.

Some of our elitists (many of them teachers in our schools) encourage the behavior this restaurant owner exhibited.

Vandalism? Yes. But a necessary corrective in the current atmosphere of contempt of the vandals amongst us.

Right now, the largest town near us is coming under seige by gangs who "slash and trash" strangers because they look American. Wait till it's your kid -- in my case, a grown man -- who is set upon and kicked repreatedly by seven thugs. Wait till his ribs are broken by the boots of haters and he or she spends weeks finding it painful just to breathe.

There are teams of these jerks all over town, attacking couples, groups, and individuals in what is supposed to be a safe place. It's not anymore. My son-in-law has a relative whose spleen was cut as he returned to his car after a movie. For no other reason than that he was there. No robbery, just brutality for its own sake.

I am glad the veteran did what he did. It's a limit set, a line drawn in the sand. And were any such person charged, I'd be glad to donate to his legal fund.

1 - First generation immigrants have lived in ghettos for much of the history of this country. It's not a new thing. There may be some who don't or won't learn English, but that

2 - This man has no moral or legal responsibility to appear on TV; I'm not sure why you have a problem with the fact that he decides not to speak about it.

3 - Of course criminals should be punished; actual criminals. Not people you (generic you) perceive as 'rude'. I would have had a lot more respect for this man had he been dealing with actual criminals, not someone who did nothing more than annoy him.

Dymphna - Well said, as always you and Baron are right on target.

---

Lucille – Yes, this guy is ‘destroying’ another person’s property. There is no argument there. He is most likely releasing a lot of the frustration he has built up over the years.

I am not sure where you live or where you are from, but this act represents an unreported undercurrent in American society. People are sick of the arrogance and in-your-face attitude of illegal aliens, and the legal immigrants of common descent who depend on them for labor and patronage.

This video was of an older man who had enough. If the immigrant community, both legal and illegal, keeps up their blatant attitude then next time it might not be an old man. It could be his grandsons and their friends who put a knife to something else besides a flag.

Dymphna, well said. Thank you.

U. S. Code Title 4, Chapter 1, Section 7g.
When flags of two or more nations are displayed, they are to be flown from separate staffs of the same height. The flags should be of approximately equal size. International usage forbids the display of the flag of one nation above that of another nation in time of peace.

Lucille, It's a matter of pride. It's a matter of standing up for ones country. America is being assaulted on many fronts, not the least of which is from those superior know-it-alls who cannot understand patriotism.

Yeah! Jim Broussard!

That's what I'm talkin' about!

Lucille - You say:

"I would have had a lot more respect for this man had he been dealing with actual criminals, not someone who did nothing more than annoy him."

And how do you know he is not? Hmm? Maybe he did not want to talk to the cameraman because he is an illegal alien. We'll never know because he did not have the courage of his convictions to speak up against what could have been injustice. BTW, I REFUSE to use the words "illegal immigrant". If I had my way, they would not be allowed to stay once corraled, just deported straightaway. OUT!

Lucille,

Beckwith - my point exactly. While this may be offensive to people here, it's not illegal, and the only one acting illegally is the veteran.

However, if he were charged and tried, and I were on the jury, I would never, ever vote guilty. No matter what. The best the prosecution would get out of me is a hung jury. :-P

He was openly making a political point and did not wear a mask or do it in the middle of the night.

As Rosa Parks "broke the law", Mr. Broussard may have infringed on some statute.

Both (just as with The Boston Tea Party's "lawbreakers") were trying to rouse the conscience of the sleepwalkers in America to what is slowly happening to their country.

The point:

If Mexico is superior, then go live there.

If not, join this country and believe in it.

Insulting it will only get more of this kind of "civil disobedience".

More power to him.

I was just going to say the same thing, regarding the Boston Tea Party. Lucille sounds like she would have condemned the colonists!
