A Counterjihad News Digest

People have been sending me numerous tips about fascinating news stories, so many that I don’t have time to cover everything in detail.

Here are snippets from a number of them; you can go to the original articles to find out more.

An excellent new essay by Fjordman in Democracy Reform:

Democracy and the Media Bias

I’ve suggested before that native Europeans face three enemies simultaneously when fighting against the Islamization of their lands: Enemy 1 is the anti-Western bias of our media and academia, which is a common theme throughout the Western world. Enemy 2 are Eurabians and EU-federalists, who deliberately break down established nation states in favor of a pan-European superstate. Enemy 3 are Muslims. The Netherlands from 2001 to 2007 is a clear case in point where enemies 1, 2 and 3 have successfully cooperated on breaking down the spirit of the native population through intimidation and censorship and by squashing any opposition to continued mass immigration.

The fact that members of the media and the academia tend to be more, sometimes a lot more, left-leaning politically than the average populace is well-attested and documented in the Scandinavian countries. Senior members of the BBC in Britain frankly admit that they are biased and champion Multiculturalism in their coverage. During the 2005 Muslim riots, it was openly stated by several French journalists that they downplayed the coverage of the riots because they didn’t want it to benefit “right-wing parties.” Judging from anecdotal information it seems fair to assume that this trend is universal throughout the Western world.

An attempt by Dubai to buy a signifcant chunk of Sweden’s stock exchange (hat tip: SD):

Dubai Bourse Plans to Buy OMX Stake of at Least 25%

Aug. 9 (Bloomberg) — Borse Dubai, owner of the emirate’s two stock exchanges, plans to buy at least 25 percent of Sweden’s OMX AB, potentially derailing a 25.1 billion-krona ($3.7 billion) takeover by Nasdaq Stock Market Inc.

The exchange “is in the process” of purchasing OMX shares for 230 kronor each, Borse Dubai said today. The price is 11 percent higher than the 208.1 kronor that New York-based Nasdaq agreed to pay for the biggest Nordic exchange operator in May. OMX stock rose as much as 6.9 percent to 232 kronor.

Dubai’s bid raises the prospect of a takeover battle for OMX as Nasdaq expands across the Atlantic to compete with NYSE Group Inc., which bought Euronext NV in April. Nasdaq failed to acquire London Stock Exchange Group Plc in February. A fight would pit OMX Chief Executive Officer Magnus Boecker against his predecessor Per Larsson, who was ousted at OMX in 2003 and made new head of Borse Dubai today to help pursue purchases.

Three articles from the Times Online, all on the same general topic (hat tip: Fjordman):

The first one:

Grooming of white girls for sex is exposed as two Asian men jailed

“At the point in their lives when they are ready for this sort of activity, Asians cannot go to Asian girls because it would be a terrible breach of the honour of the community and their family to have sex with an Asian girl before marriage.” [Ann Cryer, a Labour member of the Commons Home Affairs Select Committee] said that the reason Asian men targeted very young white girls was because older white girls knew that a relationship with an Asian youth was unlikely to last as the community would seek an arranged marriage with someone from the Asian sub- continent. Police and groups campaigning to protect women insisted that the grooming of youngsters is not segregated along race lines, though there is concern at the attitudes of some young Asian men towards white girls.

The second one:

‘If it had been white guys, it would have been reported sooner’
- - - - - - - - -
This is a universal pattern, familiar throughout communities across Britain. Julie (not her real name), whose 13-year-old daughter fell prey to this kind of sexual exploitation, believes that, in her case, sensitivity about perceived racism led to a reluctance to tackle the problem. “There must be hundreds of girls going through the same thing. But I felt I had a brick wall to knock down before you even got to the real issue. I do believe if it had been white guys, it would have been reported a lot sooner.”

She believes that the men have no respect for the victims. “These guys think the girls are white trash. They know what they can get away with.”

The third one:

Mother tells how her daughter, 14, was lured into abusers’ clutches

Like other mothers in the North West area, Jackie believes the ethnicity of her daughter’s abusers — predominantly Asian — makes the subject more difficult to tackle.

She said: “They are committing a crime; it doesn’t matter what colour or religion they are. People are scared it will start a race riot but it is this perception of racism that is putting up a barrier. It is so frustrating. Why should it be swept under the carpet? This is destroying people’s lives. They need prosecuting.”

From the American Renaissance (hat tip: Steen):

Changed Overnight: Race in Finland

As recently as 1995, there were people in the medium-sized western Finnish city of Kokkola who, as one resident put it, “had only ever seen a black person on TV.” Now, the picturesque city of 35,000 has a Sudanese population of over 500 and assorted Somalis. Like so many other towns in Finland, Kokkola suddenly finds itself with a new population that lives largely on government benefits. At the same time, police report that blacks commit violent crimes of a kind to which Finns are unaccustomed. Finland’s capital, Helsinki, which was an almost completely homogeneous city in 1995, now contains outposts of Mogadishu, and even in Oulu in the far north, a gang of Sudanese “asylum-seekers” raped a young Finnish woman with a pair of scissors.

A roundup of news at The Shield of Achilles about the attempt by the police to punish Channel 4 for airing the Undercover Mosque documentary:

In any case, the Crown Prosecution Service, showing a little sanity, advised the police that there was not enough evidence to charge Channel 4 with a crime. But this police force decided to try and find other ways to harass the producers (with the likely goal of stifling any new documentaries from exposing the Islamic fundamentalists again):

West Midlands Police have taken account of this advice and explored options available to them and has now referred the matter to the broadcasting regulators Ofcom as a formal complaint.

Two more items on Geert Wilders (hat tip: Fjordman):

Wilders presses charges against rapper

THE HAGUE — Geert Wilders is going to press charges as soon as possible against rapper Appa, who said in De Pers on Friday that he would not be bothered if someone “put a bullet in [Wilders’] head.”

A spokesperson for Wilders’ Freedom Party PVV announced the party leader’s intention to take the matter to court on Friday.

Appa, who says he represents a large group of Muslims youth in disadvantaged neighbourhoods, says in De Pers: “If I ever meet Wilders, he’s mine. I swear to you, I’ll take him on. And there are more people who feel the same way. People shouldn’t be surprised if a Mohammed C. springs up soon. If someone were to put a bullet in his head, I wouldn’t mind.”

Wilders says he feels threatened by the rapper’s comments.

Egypt calls Wilders “racist”

CAIRO (AFP) — A far-right Dutch MP who called for the Koran to be banned in the Netherlands is a racist and ignorant about Islam, an Egyptian official said on Thursday.

MP Geert Wilders on Wednesday branded the Islamic holy book a “fascist” text that exhorts followers to kill and rape, saying it has “no place in our constitutional state.”

Egyptian foreign ministry spokesman Hussam Zaki said Wilders’ call “only demonstrates the racism of certain Western politicians.

“It also reflects total ignorance of the contents of Islam and its precepts, applied by an overwhelming majority of Muslims around the world,” he added in a statement received by AFP.

Many thanks to everyone who sent in the tips.

Don't you love the 'code' the media uses? It evolves as the situation deteriorates: "disadvantaged neighbourhoods"; "Muslim YOUTH"

I betcha that a lotts those disadvantaged youths are 30-ish with a sizable Stash of Cash ( out of sight of Inland Revenue )

...and the presistence of the British media in unsing the term "Asian" to avoid saying "Musllim" gets more annoying every day

reminds me of a Dylan song:

"There's something happenin' here but ya don' know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones????"

I think Fjordman is right--again: We are facing a Grand Coalition, and they can come at us from several directions at once.

The stories about 'cultivating' White girls is getting into a very, very dangrous area. If this become a Race Conflict as well as a Cultural Conflict, things will get Very Ugly, Very Fast

"'cultivating' White girls "

What do you mean with this?
