Our Swedish correspondent LN sent us a link to the following video showing last weekend’s “March for Muhammad” in Malmö. He included some translated excerpts from an article about the same event.
When the camera zooms in on the marchers, you’ll notice that any number of blond-haired blue-eyed people — presumably native Swedes — are accompanying the chanting Muslims. There’s no way to tell whether they are converts to Islam or simply dhimmi fellow-travelers.
Many thanks to Vlad Tepes for titling and uploading this video:
Below are excerpts from the Sydsvenskan article, as translated by LN. See the original article for numerous photographs from the march:
In Malmö: “A thousand marched for Muhammad”
Sluta Kränka
Börja Tänka
(clever rhyme: “Stop offending/Start thinking”)Feyza Yildyz demonstrates because she does not feel that she has freedom of belief.
Our prophet — our life!
The demonstration is about respect for the Prophet Muhammad, and some fifty uniform placards with different messages were printed up for the event.
The demonstration is made in protest against the film about the Prophet Muhammad that has attracted attention around the world.
“We want to show that we do not tolerate this violation, but we also want to show that Muslims are not murderers,” says Boshra Mohammad, 19 years old, from Malmö.
According to Ayat Abdulzahra, the red flags demonstrators are wearing stand for the blood of martyrs who have sacrificed themselves in the struggle for Islam. Black flags represent the grief that demonstrators feel over the violation of Muhammad.
“Freedom of expression must have a limit. It does not mean you can ruin it for others,” says Feyza Yildyz, who feels that she may not believe what she wants in Malmö.
