Who You Gonna Call?

Forza Nuova

A new nationalist party in Italy has created a hotline for disgruntled citizens to call when they feel they are having problems with cultural enrichment.

Many thanks to our Spanish correspondent Hermes for translating this article from Alerta Digital:

In the Italian city of Ravenna, the Forza Nuova party has made a telephone number available to the public which people may call in order to ask for “militant support against discrimination, violence and injustice to which the Italian people are exposed”.

This was first called the “green number”, but it was immediately renamed the “black number” by the newspaper Il Fatto Quotidiano. Forza Nuova proposes that instead of calling the police, citizens can call this number if they are attacked or threatened by foreigners, so that militants of the party can go to the place to restore order themselves and help Italian citizens in need.

Luca Castellini, the coordinator of Forza Nuova for Northern Italy, denounced the invasion of foreigners, and declared that “Italians are being downgraded on a daily basis when it comes to granting of social housing and job search in the name of a hypocritical and suicidal solidarity. Foreign criminality poses a threat to Italians in their own neighborhoods and threatens their cultural and religious identity”.

The “black number” in Ravenna in not the first of its kind. Similar telephone numbers exist in Genova and Como. The police have not yet made comments about this initiative, which resembles similar ones in Greece on the part of Golden Dawn.

Hasn't Ravenna been a long-time stronghold of the Italian Communist party?

Makes sense that these conservative groups with more zest would form as a result of moderates being forcibly removed from the political process.

I'm not sure that the word "nationalism" works well anymore unless it's used in context with internationalism. Internationalism is the outward expansion of power; nationalism is taking care of business inside your own borders.

A fundamental law of science is that for every action there is a reaction. So too does this law have its replication in human society. Does this reaction to a 'peaceful invasion' by those who should not be there and are abetted by government and the United Nations really surprise anyone with a knowledge of history?

Interesting, I think we're seeing the formation of a shadow police force that is tied to a particular party.

But it's not unexpected when you disenfrancise millions of native voters and strip them of security. There will be a reaction.

If it proves to be worthwhile, expect it to grow at the expense of the government and so-called official police forces which will be seen in time as a impediment to keeping law and order.

To quote Mark Steyn "when you criminalise and delegitimise peaceful political expression, you enable a less savoury, more robust kind of politics".

Indeed, just ask Assad how that's worked out in Syria. The fact is, the EU PC establishment has criminalised such vast tracts of normal, healthy political discourse, that all you've got left is "community outreach" in a far more robust form.

I suspect if these shadow forces can provide citizens with the peace and security that unionised law enforcement cannot, well, you pays your money and you takes your chances. I think Europe right now is a very toxic powderkeg, which is why the ECB has reluctantly agreed to buy Euro bonds. They are one more financial crisis away from a serious political insurrection.

If the government fails in its duty to curtail violent crime and protect its own citizens against foreign invasion, this creates a power vacuum. Some other organization (sometimes a legitimate group of citizens, more often a crime syndicate or a narcoterrorist organization) will step in to become a proto-government.

Forza nuova isn't a new party.
The problem with Forza Nuova is that is not a conservative party, but a neo-fascist party.
