Three police officers were shot to death in Mexico City’s main airport. The victims had been in the process of attempting to arrest two other police officers, who were alleged to be involved in cocaine trafficking. The killers escaped, and the authorities are searching for them.
In other news, Christian and Muslim groups in Nigeria have come together in an interfaith initiative to reach out to each other’s followers and bring an end to sectarian violence. It is hoped that the program will eventually extend to joint preaching in churches and mosques.
