Egyptian women held a march in Tahrir Square in Cairo to protest against sexual harassment. A mob of hundreds of men — who apparently had been vaccinated against awareness of irony — attacked the women for their shameless impertinence. The mob broke through a cordon of men who were protecting the protesters, and the attackers groped and sexually assaulted some of the women.
In other news, France has decided to impose a tax on expensive cosmetic surgery as one means of easing its revenue crisis. The proposed levy has been dubbed the “boob job tax”.
