In its ongoing dispute over the EU’s “carbon tax”, China has cancelled another set of Airbus contracts, bringing the total number of cancellations to 55. Airbus has called on the EU to take action to remedy the situation, but it’s not clear what Brussels could do, short of repealing the carbon tax.
In other news, SWIFT, the international bank transfer company, has cut off payment processing operations with 30 Iranian banks, in compliance with the EU’s financial sanctions against Iran.
