A Muslim woman who was taken off a Southwest Airlines flight for questioning last March is suing the airline. The woman was wearing hijab when a stewardess misunderstood something she said, and notified the TSA. The authorities removed her for questioning, and she was put on a later flight.
In other news, during a visit to Armenia French President Nicolas Sarkozy called on the Turkish government to acknowledge genocide committed by the Ottomans against the Armenians during World War One.
Meanwhile, a German general in the Bundeswehr says that the NATO mission in Afghanistan has failed, and that the Taliban will regain power within months of NATO’s departure.
