Norwegian police say that the confessed mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik told them that there are up to eighty terrorist cells in Europe made up of people who share his ideology. They also say, however, that they don’t believe him.
In possibly unrelated news from Norway, a recent study shows that the intelligence of Norwegian schoolteachers has declined by 10% since the 1950s.
In other news, an angry Muslim mob attacked the residence of the chief of a Tunisian TV broadcasting company. The rioters were upset because the TV station had shown the 1979 animated film Persepolis, which depicted Allah as an old bearded man in a robe. The executive and his family managed to escape out the back before the mob firebombed his house.
Meanwhile, President Omar Hassan al-Bashir of Sudan says that the new constitution for his country will be completely Islamic, and bring Sudan’s laws into line with sharia.
