Here are some photos from the other side of the lines.
I arrived at 1500 and tried to make my way from Whitechapel Road and Cambridge Heath. I walked down towards Aldgate Station to the end of the UAF protest. From photo1 you can see how the Met police penned in the EDL at the edge of the City of London at Aldgate station.
Photo 2 shows the stewards at the opposing line, surprise. surprise....
Photo 3 shows the extent of the police presence before Aldgate station. They would let no one pass:
Now unfortunately at 1900 a coach with EDL leaving the scene was ambushed by Muslims on Mile End Rd. I don’t as of now know what happened to them but the police presence was huge and this was a mile away from the protest (photo 4):
Pay close attention to photo 5, as this shows a government official from Tower Hamlets in a yellow vest at the scene; they got there quick:

france , belgium and the netherlands , have banned the burka . good ! the swiss have banned minarets . good . And the Hugarianns have , as of 1st january , 2012, passed a law stating that islam , is no longer a legally recognised religion . wake -up britain . we should be expelling these muslims , and not sending in police horses . the muslums have been imposeed on us , in their millions , without our consent , and most certainly against our wishes. they are therefore here illegitimately . - what sort of addled brained governments , do we have , that allow so many muslims in our country , when not only do they want to overthrow the state , and turn it into an islamic death hole , but they preach that child sex and child rape is ok , just as its founder Mohammad did . this is absolutely unacceptable and unteneble . we are betrayed by our own government . they no longer represent the people , and therefore , they too , are illegitimate .
