A Paper Version of the French Petition Against the Burka

I just received the following email from Riposte Laïque:

When I lived in France, if one did not know French or have dictionary, one would be inclined to think that Defense de Fumer meant “designated smoking area“.

This was explained to me that, of course smoking is horrible and we need to have a law making the Grand Statement that it should be restricted, but it would be bad taste to actually enforce it. A lot of French laws seemed to be like that.

Is this to be another Grand Statement or are they really going to enforce it?
