Needless to say, it doesn’t help that the education minister has compared the institutions in question to Nazi schools. Here’s the story from 180grader, as translated by our Danish correspondent Signe:
Haarder compares Muslim free schools to Nazi ones- - - - - - - - -
Every single Muslim free school [private school with significant state funding] must be checked one more time to determine whether or not it is favourable to freedom and democracy in its teachings. Minister of Education Bertel Haarder’s argument for doing so is that the same spot-check would occur for Nazi schools if such schools were ever to be founded.
“It could be Nazi or autonomous [radical leftist] schools, if such schools were ever to be founded.”
In this way Minister of Education Bertel Haarder argues in Kristeligt Dagblad that 25 Muslim or Catholic free schools must be checked this autumn one more time to find out whether they prepare the students to live in freedom and democracy.
“Subsequent to the government’s proposal to fight extremism it was decided on June that 25 schools should be paid a visit. This is done in order to find tools to apply in countering extremism and supporting freedom and democracy,” says Bertel Haarder.
In the Association of Free Schools [Friskoleforeningen] the extra control is meeting resistance.
“It will come as a surprise to me if there is a single one of the 22 Muslim schools is not part of control this time around. As an alibi for doing this, they have to find three other schools, which will probably be Catholic schools that have many Muslim pupils,” says Ebbe Lilliendal, chairman of the Association of Free Schools to Kristeligt Dagblad, and he continues:
“The additional inquiry comes after the schools were already subjected to a number of announced and unannounced spot-checks since 2006. The schools are drained of energy every time, and this constant suspicion is a nuisance. What public school has been subjected to the same process?”

I'll take the 6000 year old Earth and Obama-as-Muslim over public schooling.
The point of homeschooling is to NOT subject a child to Leftist "standard"-ization, ie leftist communist brainwashing.
Understand?
I'm beginning to like the Danes very much.
I find it hilarious that the word "Autonomous" has been co-opted by the left. After all, "autonomy" is the last thing these people want. I know there is long history behind its use. But its hilarious none the less. Another example of "Newspeak" I guess?
"The schools are drained of energy every time [a spot check is carried out], and this constant suspicion is a nuisance."
Nervous about something fellas?
Interesting video clip from earlier this year when it was revealed that a Saudi-funded school in London was using textbooks with the usual monkeys 'n pigs routine - the school's director, a very softly spoken and telegenic lady, appeared live on the BBC's evening flagship news-analysis programme Newsnight to, ahem, "defend" these books, it's rather funny to watch her squirm when pressed, ever so gently, by the normally much more pugnacious interviewer Jeremy Paxman
Incidentally, realising what a PR disaster her appearance has been, the school officially retracted her statements the following day, citing "misunderstandings" and so on, the standard bollocks.

However - fun as it is to see this sort of thing, we should all know that it is just another version of "trying to catch Islam out on a technicality" and in fact we should not even need such excuses to be demanding the removal of Islam and Muslims from our countries. In the face of mass killings by Muslims, gang rape, constant street level threats and intimidation which are the norm in all major European cities nowadays, there is this infuriating desire to think up endless "technicalities" as to why Islam is a problem, and why Muslims are a problem. Examples abound: when asked why they are against the building of a mosque in their area, people talk about "traffic congestion"; why are you against mass immigration? erm, strain on public services and the environment; sharia law in Europe? no thanks, Muslim women will suffer. And on and on and on.
I see that my comments are not just now being "deleted by the blog administrator," they are now being obliterated without a trace.
So this is truly the end of my Gates of Vienna journey.
Adios.
