One of our longest-serving and most revered constitutional monarchs has succumbed to the blandishments of fascism’s supporters, and has disgraced an august institution with the poisonous doctrines peddled by Hitler’s heirs.
As visual proof of this fascistic transformation, consider the following photo of the notorious and repugnant Odin’s Cross, which has now been turned into a putatively honorable award.
You won’t believe your eyes:

That’s right: read it and weep. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has embraced this foul symbol and gone over to the Dark Side of the Cross, as so many have before her. Her subjects now have every reason to rise up and repudiate her!
Here’s an excerpt from the account published in The Daily Mail:
Families of 8,000 British troops killed since WWII to be given new Elizabeth Cross medal
The Queen has agreed to honour the families of Britain’s war dead with a new award in her name.
Those who have lost loved ones on the frontline or in terrorist attacks will be presented with the new Elizabeth Cross.
It is the first military honour granted by a monarch since the Queen’s father King George VI created the George Cross for civilian heroism in 1940.
Next of kin of the 8,000 servicemen who have perished in the line of duty since the end of the Second World War will receive the sterling silver cross.

Your seeing things Baron.
It's more like a Celtic Cross than a Sun Cross.
Though even if it was Odin's cross, what do you have against a symbol of Northern European indigenous religion ...other than it being once used by some Nazi nut.
I expected better from you.
Man of the Woods: I believe this post was satire and aimed at Little Green Footballs who erroneously believes that all Celtic crosses are symbols of fascism.
It is not a Celtic cross, however, though it does resemble one. The circle in the Celtic cross represents a halo, whereas this cross's circle is clearly a wreath.
Yes, is satire directed at Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs.
For what it's worth:
o I still read LGF. I think of the blogger as a good but sometimes misguided guy
o I still read blogs such as Gates of Vienna, and think of the bloggers there as good and well-guiding guy and gal
o To my sense, Hugh Fitzgerald is the best; check him out by searching for "Hugh" at http://www.jihadwatch.org
Celtic Crosses, Odin Crosses, Triskel, Swastikas... don't let nobody take yours symbols people.
And, even if they are not "your" symbols, they once were.
For instance, the Roman House of the Swastika in Conímbriga.
Elizbeth the Hun; go figure. Well, the British royals do have a lot of those dark "German" genes, and blood will out.
So the Romans were nazis too eh? They seem to get everywhere!
If you look at Ms. Mountbatten's website, see that she traces her lineage through the Scottish kings. This is due to the discontinuities wrought by the Tudor clan.
Unfortunately, it appears that the dilution of the Stewart genes by the Hanover/Saxe-Coburg-Gotha/Battenberg German lines has removed the last traces of true British blood.
Don't be surprised if you see her flying in a Messerschmitt and dressing her grandsons in lederhosen.
One has a complete freedom to take anything as symbol or emblem.
Imagine some nazi group abroad would decide to take the Czech flagg as their extremist logo. What could we do? Becoming all nazis overnight implicitly and discarding the flagg?
They might adopt the next one to come as well. The symbol game is quite interesting.

Ahh. Apologies Baron, should have realised. I don't visit LGF, it's not my cup of tea.
I had a post similar to this just the other day. Musing on grave markers that are nearly 2000 years old.
