Islamist Video Game Designed for Kids to Fight the U.S. Army

The actual game part of this video looks very primitive by today’s standards. If little Ahmed is used to Grand Theft Auto or WOW, he won’t find this very interesting:

I notice that the text in the game is in English. Who are the targeted players for this video game?

Well, I know about GTA but, WOW, what's WOW?

When will I be able to virtually kill Americans in belgrade? By the way, the Russians are saying they have fought "American mercenaries" in Georgia, they clame they have two black bodies as a proof of American help to Georgians... It can be Blackwater can't it? It doesn't really have to be the U.S.A. army, right?

Please America, stay out of the Caucasus!

That has to be the worst Silk Worm clone I've ever seen.

Afonso, the US has approximately 1000 "military advisers" in Georgia--it was part of the agreement we made with the Georgian government to get support for the Coalition in Iraq. It's entirely possible that some of them may have been KIA.

By the by, WOW refers to "World of Warcraft", a pretty popular on-line FRPG.

Certainly, for 'advisers', a thousand is a suspiciously high number, in particular in a relatively small country as Georgia.

What Russia sees in this is encroachment. I interpret this firm Russian response also as a comment about Georgia's NATO application. Russia _does_ _not_ _like_ it, yet we keep taunting the bear.

I wonder if the US general public has approved sending the boys there?

WoW has at least 10 million subscribers. These individuals are (or have), by definition:

- Internet connected.
- Literate (to some extent, at least)
- Funded (there's a monthly fee).
- Spare time
- Interest in interacting with others.

Now, if only 1 % of these people would switch from their kind of Online Game to ours, we'd have all the manpower we could ever use, and a thousand critical eyeballs on every Islamic org or government intrigue. And, everything counted, I think the challenges we have in our 'game' are just as varied and challenging as theirs, or more.

It's just a matter of living with less graphics, actually.

I didn't know that the Israelis had that many planes in 1948. If they did then that war would have ended with Israel having the 1967 borders in 1948.

The graphics were lousy. It probably loads slowly and crashes a lot. Compared to WoW I give it a -10. BTW: On WoW I play a 45 level Human Paladin. A nice way to bash in heads when one wants to kill a Muslim or two.

This game is not even theirs! Pitiful loosers stole it from Reflexive:

http://www.reflexive.com/HeavyWeapon.html

and it is called "Heavy Weapon".

You are entirely right, henrik; just after I made my post, a little voice in the back of my head warned me that my data was skewed. I double-checked, and discovered that I was off by an order of magnitude--there are 130 "military advisers" in Georgia. My apologies to our hosts and all those here at GoV.
