Are Israelis the New Swedes?

A week ago I reported that Sweden is one of the largest donors to the Palestinians, and has channeled $114 million to the Palestinian Authority so far this year. Concerning this appalling transfer of wealth to corrupt thugs and terrorists, I said, “The depraved pathology of ‘Palestine’ can only be maintained by the misplaced generosity of the West.”

But I left out an important part of the story. When considering how the West props up the Palestinian behavioral sink, it’s important to remember Israel’s contribution. Israel is no piker when compared with Sweden.

Israel, in effect, engages in repeated commercial transactions with “Palestine”: it sends cartloads of cash into the West Bank and Gaza, and in return the Palestinians deliver Qassam rockets, suicide bombers, and murderous bulldozer drivers to the Zionist entity.

The Israelis hand over $70 million a month to the monsters who would destroy their country in a heartbeat if given the chance. According to ANSAmed:

Mideast: Israel Transfers $23 Mln to PNA in Gaza

Israeli Deputy Minister of Defence Matan Vilnai said today that Israel will transfer 72 million Shekel (23 million dollars) to the Gaza Strip.

“These funds will be transferred by the Palestinian Authority of President Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) and will be used for paying the salaries of Abbas’ people,” Vilnai told public radio.

Now, this part I can believe:
- - - - - - - - -
Vilnai said arrangements have been concluded with Mahmoud Abbas to prevent the money from falling into the hands of the Hamas movement which is currently controlling Gaza.

Abu Mazen is currently engaged in a duel to the death with Hamas. No way is he going to let them get their hands on any of his money!

But does that mean that all that cash is going to a good cause?

He added that Israel must act in a way to allow Abbas to regain control over the Strip from where the Palestinian Authority has been forced out by Hamas over a year ago.

Israel transfers over 70 million dollars a month to the Palestinian Authority in taxes and customs duties it collects on behalf of the Palestinians. The funds are used to pay the nearly 150,000 Palestinian civil servants.

Although there’s no excuse for the contributions given by Europe and the USA to prop up the Palestinian pathology, this is a reminder that Israel bears the lion’s share of responsibility. Without the Jewish state’s willing complicity, the West Bank and Gaza would not be the weapons-choked hellholes that they are today.

Hat tip: Insubria.

For some real insight into this elaborate and murderous farce, please read through, "The Communist Roots of Palestinian terror ". It is but a chapter from David Meir-Levi's new book, ”History Upside Down: The Roots of Palestinian Fascism and the Myth of Israeli Aggression”. Here are just a few of the many money quotes:

The PLO came on the scene at a critical moment in Middle East history. At the Khartoum conference held shortly after the Six-Day war, the defeated and humiliated Arab states confronted the 'new reality' of an Israel that seemed unbeatable in conventional warfare. The participants of the conference decided, among other things, to continue the war against Israel as what today would be called a 'low intensity conflict'. The PLO's Fatah forces were perfect to carry out this mission.

The Soviets not only armed and trained Palestinian terrorists but also used them to arm and train other professional terrorists by the thousands. The International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (CPSU), the Soviet Security Police (KGB), and Soviet Military Intelligence (GRU) all played major roles in this effort. From the late 1960s onwards, moreover, the PLO maintained contact with other terror groups - some of them neo-Nazi and extreme right-wing groups - offering them support and supplies, training and funding.

... Mahmoud Abbas, later to succeed Yassir Arafat as head of the PLO, was a graduate of [Moscow's] Patrice Lumumba U, where he received his Ph.D. in 1982 after completing a thesis partly based on Holocaust denial.

Here comes one of the real corkers. Everyone is likely familiar with how:

Faced with Arafat's threats of civil war, he [Jordan's Hussein] offered the PLO leader a position in the Jordanian parliament. Arafat refused, saying that his only goal in life was to destroy Israel. [emphasis added]

In the above, we see Arafat as the courageous, genocidal anti-Israeli Muslim warrior.

By 1973, Arafat was a Soviet puppet (and would remain such until the fall of the USSR). His adjutants, including Mahmoud Abbas, were being trained by the KGB in guerrilla warfare, espionage, and demolition; and his ideologues had gone to North Vietnam to learn the propaganda Tao of Ho Chi Minh.

Communist misinformation plays no small part in what follows:

Arafat was particularly struck by Ho Chi Minh's success in mobilizing left-wing sympathizers in Europe and the United States, where activists on American campuses, enthusiastically following the line of North Vietnamese operatives, had succeeded in reframing the Vietnam war from a Communist assault on the south to a struggle for national liberation.

Ho's chief strategist, General Giap, made it clear to Arafat and his lieutenants that in order to succeed, they too needed to redefine the terms of their struggle. Giap's counsel was simple but profound: the PLO needed to work in a way that concealed its real goals, permitted strategic deception, and gave the appearance of moderation:

"Stop talking about annihilating Israel and instead turn your terror war into a struggle for human rights. Then you will have the American people eating out of your hand."

At the same time that he was getting advice from General Giap, Arafat was also being tutored by Muhammad Yazid, who had been minister of information in two Algerian wartime governments (1958-1962): wipe out the argument that Israel is a small state whose existence is threatened by the Arab states, or the reduction of the Palestinian problem to a question of refugees; instead, present the Palestinian struggle as a struggle for liberation like the others.

Wipe out the impression that in the struggle between the Palestinians and the Zionists, the Zionist is the underdog. Now it is the Arab who is oppressed and victimized in his existence because he is not only facing the Zionists but also world imperialism.
[emphasis added]

And there you have it, the transformation is complete. We see Arafat's—along with the Palestinian peoples'—conversion from fearsome Mujihadeen over to quailing perpetual victims.

The Palestinain-Israeli conflict’s importance cannot be overstated. This agonizingly drawn out modern day Grand-Guignol, served as the mask for Islamic jihad right up until it finally slipped free forever one innocent morning on September 11, 2001.

Communist Russia’s role in Islamic terrorism is not limited merely to Arafat and his brood of genocidal leeches. Please also read The (Russian) Roots of Islamic Terrorism by Antero Leitzinger. Socialism—as is so often the case—bears a principal and utterly blood soaked role in this ongoing destabilization of Western civilization. Even today, the enduring complicity of communism still runs deep in the continuing mayhem of Islamic jihad.

Note: David Meir-Levi's work also provides fascinating insight into how the Palestinian people and their entire cause was fabricated out of whole cloth solely for the sake of creating a false flag that Islamic jihad could march beneath. I will post some of the excerpts in another comment.

I believe that we can place the lion's share of blame upon the West in its refusal to allow Israel to effectively win the war against its enemies.

Israel is duty bound through a host of agreements signed before the international community to allow these tax collected funds to be administered, if you recall, Israel was raked over the coals for withholding these funds when due to the Karina weapons shipment being discovered.

The international community screamed bloody murder over the fact that Israel stopped these very same funds. Israel uses them as a carrot and stick, and yes sometimes it boils the blood to see the money going over to their enemies, but remember, the international community is involved, and as long as Israel plays nicey nicey, the EU makes all kinds of good trade agreements wich means alot of money as well.

It's all blue smoke and mirrors, and as one could wish that the spicket could be turned completely off, the IC would never allow the Jewish state to do it. That's the tangled web of the ME conflict.

I saw a diagram recently. It showed that the number of terror attacks correlates exactly with the flow of money into Gaza.

Could one suspect that the israelis are paying the palestinians to destroy each otherinstead of Israel ?

One can always hope. The new "Two State Solution" (i.e., Gaza & West Bank) is certainly working out rather nicely.

Iblogged about it some time ago.

What was in question then was international aid which is far more than the amount Israel allows to the PA. Remember, this is not aid, but tax funds the Israeli's are duty bound to deliver.

Baron
As I remember it, you insist that no foul language is used here, so ,PLEASE don't use the term "zionist entity "about Israel , it's BBC news-speak of the kind that makes "the F-word" sound like a blackbird in springtime.
It's usualy used by peoble who plays with the idea of letting their hate and disgust for anything connected with Israel out in the open.

KGS --

With all due respect, Israel is not honor bound to deliver money to the people who would kill them.

No matter what agreement or treaty is involved, it is null and void when one party strives by all possible means to destroy the other. Self-preservation comes first.

I know it's outré to quote Christian scripture to Jews, but...

Was the Law made for man, or man for the Law?

When I use the phrase "Zionist entity", it is dripping with sarcasm. It's the same reason I put "Palestine" in scare quotes.

With all due respect Baron, with international pressure as it is, little manuvering room is available. All they can manage to do is to tighten the valve periodically.

I understand your logic, and I'm sympathetic to it, but look at the so called "peace process". The IC arranges these horse any pony peace shows, with US presidents and Europeans applying all kinds of pressure for Israeli concessions to a side that is hell bent on destroying it.

Should Israel be held accountable for allowing itself to be pressured into showing up at these stupid conferences and talks? If left alone, I doubt that they would be repeating the same mistakes over and over again.

Yes there are a number of Israeli politicos that are as stupid as the rest, but international pressure is a very difficult commodity to handle.

No, I must insist that it isn't that cut and dry.

Ah, KGS, now you're making a different argument, one that I can agree with!

Israel is forced by the exigencies of statecraft to financially support its deadly enemy. It does so for 2 reasons:

1. The strong peace-at-any-price mentality of many leftist Israelis. This mindset exists in Israel just as much as it does in the rest of the West.

2. The overwhelming pressure of the United States, upon whom Israel is dependent.

Given the nature of recent US "support" for Israel -- e.g. our refusal to agree to action against Iran -- Israel will eventually reach the point where it's more painful to knuckle under to the USA than it is to defy it.

When that moment finally arrives, I wouldn't want to be a Palestinian.

MasterCard now has a prepaid Sharia MasterCard and 10% of the moneys are given to Muslim charities. Yah right, I wonder what and who those would be. I plan on cutting up my MasterCard in protest. Be aware of who and what your charitable dollars are supporting. I no longer support Christian-sensitive peoples. We all can do a little, which can have a huge effect.
