The UK “Fitna” Site is a Hoax

Happy Easter, everybody.

I just got on the computer, and I haven’t had time to read the comments on last night’s post — y’all are probably way ahead of me on this.

But when you pull up the UK site for Fitna, a “Ha ha! We fooled you!” page has been put up to replace what was there until last night.

I stripped out the scripts, ads, styling, image, etc. from the HTML and just left the text and the table used to build the page. Below the jump is what you get from using the straight HTML:
- - - - - - - - -
"Fitna" Eerste rij:Tweede rij:Derde rij: Einde tabel:
To Fitna or not to Fitna
FITNA The Movie
NO FITNA The Movie

It should be fairly obvious by now that there is no "Fitna" movie. No movie to insult Islam or Muslims or anyone else for that matter. The month of April is upon us, we all know the month of April starts with the 1st April and that day is famous for (practical) jokes.

Holland might not be considered as a country with a great sense of humour but ever once in awhile even in Holland they crack a joke. So, bottom line; if you are here to find the Famous Fitna movie I guess you have been had !!!

On the other hand, if you are worried about how much unrest the rumour of a 15 minute movie about Islam can create, maybe it is time to identify and deal with the issues at hand.

When points of view are miles apart, the truth can usually be found near the middle.

ps

Surely this site will soon be hacked and diverted to some muslim site, some people just don't have a sense of humour.

Happy Easter !!!

Interestingly enough, this is a Dutch production. I’m guessing that “Eerste rij”, “Tweede rij”, and “Derde rij” mean “First row”, “Second row”, and “Third row”.

More than this I will not speculate. Time to get ready for church; I’ll be back later.

This is like a Hollywood prequel. We don't even know if Fitna exists.

It could be a brilliantly hyped exercise to illustrate the lengths some will go to to stifle free speech. If so, it is a smashing success.

Let the less than productive hordes spend their time gathering in Kabul and Karachi chant "death to [insert country here]".

Let them hold meetings to discuss editorial cartoons and lose sleep over the possible publication of infidel short subject films. We tell each other to chill while they tell themselves to seethe.

Is Islam the most colossal waste of time and effort that ever existed? If not, it must be close to the top.

Actually, it seems like a rather friendly hoax:

maybe it is time to identify and deal with the issues at hand.

I can agree with that, for sure.

I sincerely doubt that Wilders would sabotage his own credibility by cobbling up a Trojan Horse.

Look to see "Fitna" hit the market one way or another. While making Islam rant and seethe is just ducky, getting the word out and exposing Muslims for the thugs and gangsters they are is far more important.

Wilders is Hell bent on making sure that there is a solid collision between Islam and the West. No other sort of wakeup call will suffice. The ensuing trainwreck has to upset enough apple carts whereby the West finally purchases a clue and begins shagging Islam like the two-bit whore it always has been.

dT, I think they've been hacked. The 'no movie' page is on the way back in. Looks like the webmaster is repairing damage.

You are right about the translation of those Dutch words! The registrant of that co.uk site is "Los Bol".
"Losbol" is a Dutch word for a wild, out of control person, inclining towards immoral behaviour. Maybe Losbol is just another leftist internet-flasher that has been hyperventilating too long now and just can't hold it any longer.

There are loads of idiots like that ripping open their raincoat recent months and starting to jump around foaming with rage, just because of their impotence to silence Wilders or the growing anti-islam sentiment.

Some of those closet-nazi's become real serious Fitna-syndrome victims lately. Last week amongst the usual queue of pathetic leftist idiots, another one completely flipped and called for making Fitna "unfindable" by spamming YouTube with Fitna-cips.

I must say one of the benefits of the "delay" of the film is the complete nervous breakdown of appeasers. Usually they cheer themselves for popagating dialogue, discussion and tolerance, even when it concerns muslim terrorists with fresh bloodstains on their jellaba. But now not a single sensible or intelligent comment or contribution came forward form a leftist, anyone from their "moderate" comrades or politicians yet.

On the contrary: from the ultraleft [the real fascists], the Socialists to the Christian Democrats; the government, the Prime Minister, to members of parliament, the media, and "celebrities", they all show even more than during the rise of Fortuyn they are just not fit for democracy.

This Friday, March 28, there will be a courtcase against Wilders. The Dutch Islamic Federation [Nederlandse Islamitische Federatie] wants his film to be reviewed by an "independent" expert to see if there's anything offensive towards muslims in it. If so [I presume it is!] they want it to be forbidden. This courtcase can't be avoided, therefore Wilders might want to release the film before he has to go to court.

Sometimes .. I wonder .. how come people get so upset about all of this?

Remember, it's digital. It's just a (huge) collection of 1's and 0's. Nothing much to fuss about, really.

Interesting comment lifted from JihadWatch:
A clever dutch woman checked some other sites hosted by Network Solutions. Turns out they seem to have no problem hosting Hizbollah.org or IslamOnline.net!
So if you mail NS politely ask why they have nog problem with that.

Henrik, do have to email them "politely"? Haha. Bert, you said it, it already would be impossible to find it at YouTube - the number of phony videos all with the Fitna title is scary. . . the amount of animosity toward (fear of?) this film out there is just . . . breathtaking.

Wilders Movie Website, Network Solutions, Is Caving Into Radical Islam.

Website http://www.fitnathemovie.com/ is down: "This site has been suspended while Network Solutions is investigating whether the site's content is in violation of the Network Solutions Acceptable Use Policy. Network Solutions has received a number of complaints regarding this site that are under investigation. Read more: http://muslimsagainstsharia.blogspot.com/2008/03/is-wilders-movie-website-network.html

Muslims Against Sharia neither endorse nor condemn "Fitna"; we have not seen the film. However, we find it disturbing that Network Solution suspended "Fitna" website while hosting a multitude of radical Islamic websites, some of which belong to (or are closely affiliated with) terrorist groups.

Whoever put up the No Fitna page said "When points of view are miles apart, the truth can usually be found near the middle."

NO - NO - NO.

This is a false moral position (that truth or morality can be on a continuum). I think it was "Breath of the Beast" blogspot that nailed it: if the truth is in the middle somewhere, how many Jews would it have been OK for the Nazis to kill? You have "zero" at one end of the continuum; the Nazis killed about 6 million and are denounced as evil; but the truth is "in the middle somewhere". Shall we settle on 3 million and call it good? Absolute nonsense.

Somebody else had posted a quote from Ayn Rand, "When good compromises with evil, good loses". (Dang I swear I bookmarked that but the link evaporated...)

This continuum-of-points-of-view, moral-equivalency-between-worldviews, we-should-meet-in-the-middle mindset is far too prevalent in today's world. There ARE actions and beliefs that are evil. We cannot compromise with evil without degrading ourselves. This is an absolute. This is non-negotiable.

I doubt that the statement cited in the post is from Wilders:

I am reposting your entire comment because it is of such importance. Far too many people now subscribe to the liberal notion of:

THERE IS NO GOOD OR EVIL, JUST SHADES OF GRAY.

I have learned to ask such people—usually women—who spew this sort of nonsense: "Fine. Now please tell me when is rape good and not evil."

Somebody else had posted a quote from Ayn Rand, "When good compromises with evil, good loses".

Giving ground to your enemy never works. One need merely examine the Islamic concept of hudna to understand this. If any other clarification is required, please consider either the Israeli - Palestinian "Peace Process" or the case of Iran.

Iran has already demonstrated its willingness to defy International Law, sponsor Islamic terrorism and abet terrorist intervention in Iraq.

Giving Iran even another year or two of military respite easily could prove to be the absolute worst strategic blunder of this new century.

As with the "Relentless" video clip linked above, there is absolutely no reason to expect anything different from Islam on the larger issue of jihad against the West.

Perhaps, even more curious, is how matching Islam's ruthlessness and ferocity will take us nowhere near the same sort of degradation that acquiescing to it's ignoble demands most certainly would.

As with World War II, adopting the collective punishment used by our Axis foes in no way doomed us to become like them. So may it well be that defeating Islam could easily require the use of massively disproportionate retaliation (asymmetrical warfare by another name), in order to finally deter whatever remaining Muslim population from engaging in further terrorist atrocities.

Time will tell and it is most certainly NOT on Islam's side. Muslims act entirely otherwise but be assured that the clock is ticking down on Islam's presence here on earth.
