The Fars news agency in Iran reported that seven American soldiers had been detained by Iranian border guards at the border between Iran and Iraq. The Revolutionary Guard, NATO, and the U.S. government all denied the incident occurred. The story was later withdrawn by Fars.
In other news, state government budgets in the USA are increasingly under stress, so the states are attempting to collect sales taxes more aggressively on online purchases. Some proposed laws will attempt to force Amazon.com and similar businesses to calculate the tax owed on each transaction, and then inform the purchaser how much he should remit to his state of residence.

Message to Muslims: I’m Sorry
As a blog by James Poniewozik of Time paraphrased it: “Sorry for Portraying Muslims as Human.”
Let's see if Muslims ever bother to make a similarly well-publicized apology regarding the way that Islam goes about "Portraying" us infidels as apes and pigs.
Regarding the Australian article:
"Umm Jamaalud-Din said Mr Nile’s “un-Australian” bill had “open[ed] the floor to racist elements that exist within Australian society”
Umm...not a very Australian name in itself. And if the Australian people choose to ban slavery scarves and oppression shrouds (islamic veils, burkas, niqabs) then all power to the people.
As for 'racist elements' - I think any racism began when muslims in places like Brighton-Le-Sands, a historic place close to where Captain Cook landed, in their attempts to force out Australians and Southern Europeans, started calling every Woman in the street 'Aussie sluts', C***, bitches, and worse. Why? They are not muslims and dare to expose their shoulders, arms, knees etc. Sounds like racism to me, Umm.
UK: What Do You Think Made You Become a Heterosexual? Just One of the Bizarre Questions Council Chiefs Are Asking Staff on ‘Diversity’ Course
If mahoundians were asked such a question (I'm sure they're not, lest whoever asks it be charged with that gravest of felonies under British Law these days, "hurting mahoundian feelings"), would it be surprising if 90+% of the respondents said "when I had to stop hanging out with classmates and teachers at madrassa"?
