Something is wrong with Blogger: when I post the news feed, it chops off most of the current posts from the main page. When I originally posted tonight’s news feed, Blogger removed all but the top three posts from our main blog page.
This is unacceptable, so until Blogger fixes the problem, I am suspending the news feed.
I’ve tried all the solutions I could think of — streamlining the HTML, etc. — but nothing has fixed the problem. If anyone knows of any workaround for this bug, please let me know.
I’ll test the situation every evening, and resume the news feed if the bug ever gets fixed.
I apologize for the inconvenience. However, the availability of our recent posts is more important than displaying the news feed.

Are you using:
... in your code? You might not be aware that you're doing it. It's a new Google feature.
The code was stripped out from my previous posting.
Left angle bracket, exclammation mark, hyphen, hyphen, space more space, hyphen, hyphen, right angle bracket.

If I read you correctly, you're talking about:

This is an HTML comment, in which meta-tags can of course be placed.
I have comment fields in my template. But the template itself has not been changed. Nor was the format of the news feed changed until the trouble started, when I tinkered with it, hoping to find a workaround.
Whatever the problem is, it is blogger's doing, not mine.
Try putting the news feed items in the first comment, and see if that works. It's clunky, but at least it wouldn't wipe out the rest of your front page.
Perhaps Blogger is rendering your html as ascii and replacing it with it's own html? The Newsfeed would then appear as Blogger html... your html rendered as ascii... content of newsfeed... broken content. This may have to do with the editor in Blogger, is it a WYSIWYG? Maybe it is time to change to Wordpress or the like.

Our tipster JD has spotted the source of the problem: Blogger's new feature called "auto-pagination". See this Blogger Buzz post.
Auto-pagination takes into account the number of bytes in recent posts, including the below-the-jump material. Since the news feed is typically huge, it prompts the auto-pagination to drop most of the current posts.
There's evidently no opt-out for this feature. So I will simply have to establish some kind of workaround (or die trying!).
Before you change to wordpress I want you to be aware that they closed down the swedish blog Politiskt Inkorrekt (Politically Incorrect) three times before they tired and switched to their own servers. Each time it was someone, many thinks Expo has been behind it, ha complained that the blog was offensive. I don't know how much this blog is hated among mahoundians and the PC MC crowd. Another blog Loganswarning has been hacked two times in a fairly short time so who knows.
A short while ago Fjordman made a post about how he was wondering how our predicament came about. I found a post he might like to take a look at. Dunno how to get in touch with him, so I'll just post it here, hoping you can get in touch with him for me.
A possible explanation?
