Meanwhile, the Archbishop of Abuja, John Olorunfemi Onaiyekan, called for talks between the government and the Islamic terror group Boko Haram. He says that there are no religious conflicts in Nigeria.

In other news, the Egyptian stock marked plunged in the wake of President Morsi’s recent assumption of near-dictatorial powers.
