My sympathies are with that Palestinian cow. The article states that the animals awaiting slaughter get spooked due to the "festive" atmosphere—smart animals. Also, since blood is everywhere they must sense their impending fate. I've been in a "conservative" Muslim city during this Feast of the Sacrifice and it's not pretty. Sidewalks, balconies, and even buses are literally dripping with blood. I shudder for the sacrificial animals who are at the mercy of their amatuerish butchers.
