Three Syrian cities are under siege by security forces, and the western quarter of Damascus is said to be surrounded by the army. Mass arrests continue, and Iranian forces are openly assisting their Syrian counterparts as security advisors. However, a spokeswoman for the government says the regime has gained the upper hand, and now has the situation under control.In other news, Greece is objecting to the downgrading of its debt by Standard & Poor. It maintains that its current financial situation has not worsened, and that the drop from BB- to B is unwarranted.

I didn't realize I was 7 years behind when I was reading the old post dated October 27, 2004, entiled " The New Kristall Nacht". Wow,I did not even have a computer then!
I first came across with the expression " Kristall Nacht" when I was 12-yo. And this was also the time when I started digging into the long Jewish history. I have come to realize that America and the whole West, like it or not, can hardly disconnect themselves from the Jewish connection witnessing the long list of Jewish contribution,discoveries and inventions, to the Western civilization. And yet, the Jewish
people have been hated and persecuted by the entire world.
I fail to understand as I am a devout Buddhist who believes in
universal compassion and the love of all sentient beings !!
