The Somali Mafia: Grooming and Pimping in Minnesota

Cultural Enrichment News

This case is eerily reminiscent of the “grooming and pimping” trials now underway in various parts of England. It seems to be less extensive, however, and maybe less debased, than its British counterparts. And the American version involves Somalis, and not Pakistanis.

How is it that people from such diverse cultures could engage in the same depraved behavior? What could they possibly have in common?

I can’t think of a thing.

However, based on the two sets of mug shots in the MPR article, this case seems to have a Mohammed Coefficient of 17% (unless you count “Ahmed” as a version of “Mohammed”, as some scholars do, and then it’s higher).

The gang operated in multiple locations, not just in Minnesota, so the trial is taking place in Tennessee. Notice the chilling last sentence in the local FOX News report: “All of them are in the country legally, and some are U.S. citizens.”

Many thanks to Vlad Tepes for uploading this video:

Below are some excerpts on the same case from Minnesota Public Radio:

Young witness testifies in sex trafficking case

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A key witness in a federal trial involving nine people accused in a sexual trafficking ring operated by Somali gang members told jurors she was taken from apartment to apartment in suburban Minneapolis to have sex with men for money.

The young Somali woman who testified Tuesday in Nashville is identified in court records only as Jane Doe No. 2 and is one of four unidentified female victims listed in the indictment originally unsealed in 2010. Thirty people were indicted in the case, many of Somali descent, and were members or associates of three gangs called the Somali Outlaws, the Somali Mafia and the Lady Outlaws.

The gang members are accused of forcing teenage girls into prostitution and operated in St. Paul; Minneapolis; Columbus, Ohio; and Nashville.

Her family came to the United States like many Somali refugees to escape a war, but the woman testified that most of the men that used her for sex were other Somalis in her community.

The witness, whose exact age is unknown because her birth certificate was determined to be a fake, said that she was being used a prostitute while still in 6th grade.

The government maintains she was still a minor when she was involved with the gang, although defense attorneys disagree. The woman’s age is important because the government has to show she was under 18 to prove child sex trafficking charges.

She cried as she described being taken to several apartments to have sex with other Somali men for money, sometimes as little as $40.

She said the sexual acts were called “missions” and that she never received any money and wasn’t allowed to question the gang members. She referred to one of the defendants as her boyfriend but said he told her to have sex with other men.

“I felt that was my place and it had been established,” she said. “...I felt I had no way out.”

[…]

In one incident, she described being used by the gang members to raise money for a car trip from Minneapolis to Nashville. She said she performed sexual acts with at least 10 men mostly in alleyways and said the purpose of the trip was so they could steal car parts in Nashville. Once in Nashville, the woman and several of the defendants who were with her were arrested in April 2009.

She testified that while Somali culture values a woman’s chastity and her mother was very traditional, her family never threatened to kick her out of the house.

"they credit the Somali community". LOL! So, just so you know, the truth is the people who brought this to light were the Bantu Somali, who were being victimized by the Somali gangs. There was actually one Christian Bantu Somali family who called the police after a "shake-down" from one of the gangs. So, to the previous poster who erroneously brought up "Bantu Somali gangs", you can now look at ALL the suspects and rest assured there are no Bantu Somalis on this list. Two totally separate groups.

Also, the "victim" (who was also a gang member and only came forward AFTER the arrest) testifies "She testified that while Somali culture values a woman’s chastity". This is utter BS. Somalis pimp their sisters and daughters out regularly, specifically to their older male relatives (this way there is less "talk"). But since the women are circumcised, the kind of sex they have allows them to say they have "maintained" their chastity. It's a very perverse and sick culture (very close to Afghani culture in so many ways).

As an aside, I must admit a perverse pleasure in seeing the girls in Hijab in their arrest pictures. It's about time.

This is the price we pay for importing people from alien and backward cultures that have zero commonality with Western society and it's values.

It's even made worse by the fact that Federal government encourages them live keep their primitive and violent culture via welfare and fat social security checks.

We need to send them back to the hell hole they came from.

@Qualis Rex,

The hijab is no symbol of purity, only of submission. In Pakistan, even the whores wear veils, and there are whores aplenty.

Deport All Somali Muslim "Refugees" NOW!

And, if anyone (else) has a sadistic vein in them, whenever I rent a car in Minneapolis, San Diego, or Detroit or am in a service-oriented situation being attended by Somalis, I wait until the transaction is complete, then ask, "Oh, by the way, I'm visiting here, so do you know of any good Ethiopian restaurants?" Of course, this will be followed by a self-righteous or indignant scowl and reply of "I'm Somali, not Ethiopian" to which I generaly respond "Well, I know that, but since the Christian Ethiopians have been occupying your country for the last 6 years I just assumed you'd know."

Any immigrant who is involved is such crimes should do the time and then be deported. Even if they are sent back to that dump called Somalia.

That 'value' seems purely theoretical. Her parents are being hypocritical rather than promoting chastity.

It's only hard to imagine if one's head is in the sand and know nothing about Islam.
